Citywalk Simple and Natural Beautiful Scenery West Sea Wetland Park

Located in the center of Beijing, the West Sea Wetland Park in Shichahai covers an area of 10.9 hectares, including 7.4 hectares of water area and 3.5 hectares of surrounding green space. The park's water surface is open and clear. Reeds sway with the wind on the shore, green-headed wild ducks and red-billed water birds play in the grass, and aquatic plants such as lotus and water lilies are dense. In the center of the water surface, there is an ecological floating island area for birds to inhabit. The park has a lakeside walkway and plenty of seats by the water. Along the West Sea Wetland Park, there are still residential houses, making it a great place for local residents to relax. In early autumn, the water surface of the West Sea Wetland Park glistens, with simple and natural beauty, making it very suitable for walking. Compared to the Qianhai and Houhai scenic areas, the West Sea Wetland Park is quiet, comfortable, and has far fewer tourists, with little commercial atmosphere. There are also preserved temples along the lake. Figure 11 shows a statue of Guo Shoujing, a famous scientist of the Yuan Dynasty who made outstanding achievements in astronomy, calendar, water conservancy, and mathematics. There is a Guo Shoujing Memorial Hall on the north shore of the West Sea. The Shichahai scenic area is divided by the Yinding Bridge into Qianhai and Houhai, and the water area west of Deshengmen Inner Street is called Xihai. The West Sea Wetland Park is open, with several entrances and free admission.
