Weizhou Island | A Treasure Homestay Worth Revisiting

It's been a while since my last update, and my first recommendation of 2025 is actually for a homestay on Weizhou Island that I've been longing to share! Traveling during the off-season is the best reward I could give myself ❤️. Some say, "You'll regret it for the rest of your life if you don't come to Weizhou Island, and you'll also regret it for the rest of your life if you do." But I think that entirely depends on your travel attitude and preparation. My two experiences, one during peak season last year and one during the off-season this year, have given me a deeper understanding of Weizhou Island. Today, I want to share with you a homestay worth revisiting—"Not a Mountain Micro Cement Inn." 🌊Accommodation Experience I've always been picky about accommodation, especially cleanliness. On Weizhou Island, surrounded by the sea, issues like dampness, uncleanliness, musty smells, and poor service do exist. However, "Not a Mountain" homestay was a breath of fresh air: 1️⃣Service: They have a strong service ethic. Upon check-in, you'll be added to an exclusive service group and receive welcome fruits, afternoon tea, and evening stews. Most hotels on Weizhou Island don't have elevators, but the staff here offered to carry our luggage, and pick-up and drop-off at the pier were standard! 2️⃣Cleanliness: The housekeeper meticulously cleans every day, leaving the white floors spotless. They thoughtfully inquire before your continued stay, respecting your privacy! They also ask before cleaning the room, which shows respect for boundaries! Musty smells are non-existent here. 3️⃣Style and Facilities: The homestay features a minimalist wabi-sabi style, and the beach is just across the road🏖️. A Dyson hairdryer, footlights, a Husky refrigerator, and a Marshall Bluetooth speaker add a touch of practicality and luxury. The best part is the three-separate bathroom, where you can enjoy both a bathtub🛁and ocean views! 📸A Photographer's Paradise From the common area to the rooms, every corner is full of design, making it impossible to stop taking pictures📷! We spent a good half of the first day just relaxing at the homestay, enjoying the peace and beauty. 🏝️Summary "Not a Mountain" homestay not only offers attentive service and impeccable cleanliness but also has its own unique style. From disembarking to leaving the island, you can feel their care and enthusiasm. Compared to the bustling South Bay and Shiluo Port, I prefer the tranquility of the west coast, and this homestay is a shining gem on that coast.
