This temple was built during the Thonburi period.

🏡Wat Muang Khae or Wat Patalee was established in 1768, early in the Thonburi period. The original entrance to the temple was likely on the river side, but with the construction of Charoen Krung Road, the front of the temple now faces Charoen Krung Road. The important and interesting features within the temple include: 🏠The ordination hall, which has mural paintings inside and is surrounded by a glass wall. The principal Buddha image is in the Mara Vichaya posture. There are also images of Buddha in the Palilayaka posture, as well as statues of Moggallana, Sariputta, and various standing and sitting Buddha images.
