It was originally just a monastery or a small temple in the middle of a garden. The name of the builder is unknown. 🏠During the reigns of King Rama II and III, Phraya Phetphichai (Ket) and Phraya Ratchasongkhram (That), the chiefs of the construction of Phra Nakhon Khuen Khan (Phra Pradaeng), saw that Wat Pariwas, which was on the opposite bank of the river, was in a dilapidated state. So they brought the remaining materials to renovate it and named it Wat Pariwas Ratchasongkhram.
