Pay respects and make wishes to the Reclining Buddha.

🏡 Wat Suan Phlu was established in 1797. Originally named Wat Khlong Lom because it was surrounded by the Silom Canal, which branched off from the Chao Phraya River. Today, it has become Silom Road. 🏕 The area around the temple was once home to Chinese settlers who grew betel as their livelihood and together built the temple, renaming it Wat Suan Phlu. The important and interesting features within the temple include: 🏠 The Ubosot (ordination hall) is adorned with stucco and glass decorations. The roof features stucco angels and fairies. Inside, the principal Buddha image in the Mara Vichaya posture is enshrined on a five-tiered pedestal. ⛺ The Thai-style pavilion is situated in the middle of a pond and has a Chinese sign indicating it is the Pavilion of Guan Yin Bodhisattva. 🙏 The Buddha image in the posture of giving a blessing is enshrined outdoors near the pavilion. 🏡 The Vihara of the Reclining Buddha houses the Reclining Buddha image and other Buddha images in various postures, such as the Naga Prok posture, the Alms Bowl posture, and the disciples.
