Today, I'm sharing some free spots to view the Buddha without spending extra money. 1️⃣ Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen Buddha by the water 📍796 Soi Thoet Thai 26 2️⃣ Buddha in the alley 📍60 Phet Kasem 15 Alley, Lane 9, Wat Tha Phra, Bangkok Yai, Bangkok 10160 📍Bangkok Yai (walk through the alley to the riverside) 📍Soi Thoet Thai 26 📍p8, 9, 10 are on the road ahead of the alley 3️⃣ View from the overpass 📍Lad Ya8 (requires a telephoto lens of 400mm or more, the bustling Bangkok and the Buddha in the background are stunning) 4️⃣ View from a small boat 📍Bangkok Yai (after visiting the alley spots, boatmen are available at the riverside; we only took photos and didn't take a boat ride, 200 per boat) 5️⃣ Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen Buddha & Wat Arun (p6) 📍At Talat Philu (a coffee shop where you need to order to access the rooftop for photos) 6️⃣ Looking up at the Buddha 📍Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen Bangkok You can't capture the full view of the Buddha at Wat Paknam, but it's free to visit and the view is impressive. 🧾｜Route Alley → Riverside → On a small boat → Riverside → TT Coffee → Wat Paknam → Lad Ya8 🔖｜Travel Tips 🔸The Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen Buddha is worth spending an afternoon visiting. It's a new landmark in Bangkok and impressive from all angles. 🔸Follow the route above for a seamless experience. Take the Blue Line to Tha Phara and walk 5 minutes to the alley. You can take a small boat to the riverside location and walk through the alley to TT Coffee. 🔸There's no need to visit the shipyard coffee shop at the riverside.
