This gem of a country has so much work in its favour when it comes to holiday destinations. Clubbed with a summer and spirit of adventure. Might i recommend you the nature getaway that Azores can be. Located in the Atlantic ocean. Azores, consists of 9 islands spread out to the west of Portugal, all of which offer unique features, activities, and cultures. Irrespective of which islands you choose to visit, you’ll find new natural feats that give each island a unique personality. As we’ll talk about later, you’ll see dormant volcanic formations, winding caves, lively forests, and much more. And that’s not all! Region-specific plants and animals are scattered, hidden around the land. My personal favourite activity is Vineyards and this place has a UNESCO heritage vineyard. Making the culinary experience a step above others. Some of the island's specialities or popular local foods include cheese, seafood, and exotic fruits. In fact, cheese from the Azores is so tasty that half of Portugal’s supply comes from the island. During my time there i explored multiple historic sites that are UNESCO heritage. Pico island vineyard cannot be missed. Depending on the season it could also be a great spot for dolphin and whale watching. You will find plenty of good accommodations to suit a variety of budgets. In the past I have stayed in 2 different boutique styled places. It is absolutely worth a holiday here. The best part and whole tourists are starting to show up. Azores still continue to not be as crowded as other popular destinations in Portugal.
