Asahiyama Zoo

#thingstodo A small zoo with the penguin walk being a major highlight. If you take the bus from JR Station, recommend taking the 930 one or earlier cause the lines are so long waiting for the bus, you might not make it to the first bus if you are aiming for the 11am parade. Buy your ticket ahead of time in the building ! The returning bus is not as frequent. it is hard to get a view as people all start to line up for it. The zoo has some slippery areas and coin lockers.
