Reuben's Deli Cafe

#australiaroadtrip Came here for lunch as I had read about it in a few publications. First impression was that the fit out was quite amazing, I loved the blue & white colour motif. Onto the food, I got a half pastrami on rye and a Rueben. Reuben's is a slice of New York in Armadale. There are classic cold and hot sandwiches on offer. It is also a legitimate deli where you can buy meat by the kilo and take home meals. It’s a big call but I think this is the best Rueben around. It’s small but the meat is thick and juicy and served with rye and mustard and sauerkraut, hitting all the marks of a good pastrami sandwich. The chicken schnitzel roll is also good and the cookies are standout. Tahini white chocolate and brown butter chocolate chip were both winners. We stopped in for the eponymous Reuben on Rye. We loved the combo of rye bread, pastrami, Thousand Island dressing and cheese. Delicious! Location : Armadale, Victoria, Australia Open Hours: 08:00 - 20:00
