[Wakayama] Iwaishi Plateau

Iwashi Plateau is famous for its autumn Japanese pampas grass. The majestic scenery that stretches into the distance allows you to forget about your daily life and relax. The wind is quite strong! I went during Golden Week, but it was a little cold 😅 I found the famous photo spot, Hike Rock, right away because I had to wait in line. When taking photos at the edge of the cliff, the footing is bumpy with rocks, so be careful not to fall! There are many ways to spend your time here, such as camping or picnicking. The kids were excited about the wide grassland and had fun running around and chasing bugs. We even spotted a Japanese serow on the mountain path of Iwashi Plateau! It's rich in nature. It's difficult to get there by bus or train, so we recommend coming by car if possible.
