Ski and sightseeing possible one day in the Aosta valley.

the aosta Valley is a beautiful part of northern Italy that is great to travel, In the winter we visited Pila to ski which boasted great facilities and friendly staff, it was connected by a gondola to the beautiful town of aosta, which boasted a historic cobbled centre with a huge central roman ruins, from here the ski resorts of courmayeur and la thuile are only in touching distance, there was fantastic pizza and great drinks to be had (I recommend 'red' Peroni) which is far nicer than what is sold in the UK. with the gondola which is operating from 8-5 it is possible to ski and to visit the town in one day, with buses running later during the peak season.
