The Wenfeng Pagoda in Anyang exudes a serene and graceful presence

Anyang, a prefecture-level city in Henan province, leaves a good impression. It is home to the famous Yin Ruins World Heritage site, where oracle bone inscriptions were discovered. It has been the capital for seven different dynasties, earning it the title 'Ancient Capital of Seven Dynasties'. Stepping out of the high-speed train station, despite ongoing infrastructure development, the grandeur is evident, with a bit of an imposing air. The main thoroughfares are wide and beautiful, and the springtime greening bursts with a myriad of flowers, offering a pleasant surprise to newcomers. The Wenfeng Tower of Tianning Temple in the city has a history of over a thousand years. Although the temple itself has been destroyed, the tower remains intact. The five-tiered stupa of Wenfeng Tower has a large top and a narrow body, which is quite unique. The most unusual feature is the lotus petal base on the platform of the tower, which is neat and finely crafted. The eight sides of the tower are adorned with straight lattice windows, round arch doors, and brick carvings of Buddhist stories. The carvings are meticulous, the figures are three-dimensional and vivid, and the dark brown color is serene and elegant. It is truly a sight for sore eyes and can be aptly described as beautiful.
