In 1840 (the year the Opium War broke out), Zhang Ying was promoted to the position of Prefect of Xingyi, serving in Anlong for more than a decade. When night fell, the officials would patrol, and upon seeing a light in the home of someone studying, they would loudly announce: 'The Prefect Mr. Zhang Ying has added oil, wishing the students to achieve high success!' To add oil, is to cheer up! From this, the 'Cheer Up' culture was born!
