👍 Lake Karakul is located at the foot of the Father of Icebergs - Muztagh Ata, 191 kilometers away from Kashgar. The Karakoram Highway passes by the lake, not far from the base camp for climbing Muztagh Ata. Karakul means 'black lake' and is a high mountain glacial moraine lake. The water surface reflects the majestic and mysterious Muztagh Ata, covered in white snow, blending the mountains with the waters, creating a captivating scene. 🌟 Lake Karakul has a unique geographical location, situated on the ancient Pamir Plateau, surrounded by mountains, presenting a scene of layered peaks. It is known as the 'Roof of the World', pristine and pure.
