Aix-en-Provence is one of the most elegant and charming cities in the Provence region of southern France. The greater Provence area is vast, encompassing cities like Avignon, Aix, Arles, and Marseille. This region is renowned for its sunshine, cuisine, lavender fields, historic towns, and Mediterranean charm. The lavender season typically peaks from late June to mid-July, with the fields near Valensole and the Abbaye de Senanque being the most famous.
