Our Abbotsford Tulip Escape: A Burst of Color

#cityplaybook #canadatrip #tulipfestival Last May 2024, we embarked on a journey to Abbotsford, British Columbia, drawn by the promise of a spectacle unlike any other: the annual Tulip Festival. Having never witnessed such a vibrant display of flowers before, we anticipated a beautiful experience, but the reality far surpassed our expectations. Stepping onto the grounds of the festival, we were immediately enveloped in a sea of color. The air was alive with the sweet fragrance of the blossoms, and the sheer scale of the display was breathtaking. We wandered through rows upon rows of tulips, each variety distinct and captivating. From the classic red and yellow blooms to more unusual hues like deep purple and vibrant orange, the diversity was astounding. The festival itself was well-organized, with plenty of space to stroll and admire the flowers at your own pace. There were also various food vendors and activities, making it a perfect day trip for the whole family. But for us, the true highlight was simply the overwhelming beauty of the tulips themselves.
