Well, how can I claim to be in Melbourne when I don't visit the famous Brighton Bathing Box! I took an uber there and it was freezing the day I went. One of the tiny boxes was sold for $700,000 during the period I went. Based on information, people purchase the boxes here to keep their surfing equipment in the box as this is a popular place for surfing during the summer. Many of the boxes are painted artistically. It was a sunny 15 degree Celcius and I got myself out to Brighton Beach to check out those iconic colorful bathing boxes! It was relatively easy to get there with public bus, 5-10 minutes walk from the stop, and you’ll get there! As it is the only things to see at Brighton Beach, 15-30 minutes are probably enough if you don’t need to take photo on each of those boxes. You can head to some cafes around, just make sure to be there before 3PM because the cafes close early. How to Get There : drive, take taxi, or take public Bus 600, 922 or 923 (pay attention to the schedule though, it only comes every 20-30mins)
