Kham Chanot
Kham Chanot is one of the important tourist destinations in Udon Thani that many people aim for. This place, known as “Kham Chanot”, is another major center for spiritual seekers, considered a must-visit for all. Its reputation for sanctity draws people from all over the country to worship continuously. The power of faith in the stories of the revered Naga serpent is significant to many. Moreover, an interesting feature of this site is the vast Chanot tree forest, which is unique to Thailand. The remarkable aspect of the Kham Chanot forest is the sponge-like soil underneath that can expand or contract depending on the surrounding water levels, allowing the island to float on the water without sinking. Therefore, when you come to Udon Thani, don't forget to visit Kham Chanot for blessings.
Khum Kham Chanod, Udon Thani Province
Khum Kham Chanod was founded by Professor Suphan Kon Kham Lam Khong, or better known as Kon Kham Lam Khong, who grew up in the Mekong River basin until his belief in the Naga led to a change in his life. From a university lecturer and writer on Naga, he established "Khum Kham Chanod" on an area of over 2 rai in Ban Dung District, Udon Thani Province. It offers services to devotees who love and believe in the Naga and the Naga to pay homage and ask for blessings.
When traveling to Khum Kham Chanod, it is popular to bring various offerings, which are sold at the worship hall, to pay homage and ask for blessings from the sacred objects that they believe in because within the Khum Kham Chanod area, there are many sacred objects enshrined.

Khamchanod, a very famous place to pray🪅
Khamchanod, Udon Thani Province, the northeastern region of Thailand 🇹🇭
It is considered one of the sacred places in Thailand that people know.
Many people come to ask for blessings, make vows, and many people get what they want. 🙏
🫶🏻 The feeling when entering the place is very cool. It is a personal belief.
Offerings are sold along the way to Khamchanod. Or if you want to buy them at Khamchanod, they are also available. You can choose according to what you want to ask for blessings.
There are many types of Bai Sri to choose from.
On the way out of the area where we went to worship, look for numbers on the trees. 😂 Good eyes get bad results. In conclusion, I have bad eyes 55555 But some of the people I went with have good eyes. 😍
If you have a chance to pass through the northeast, try to stop by and take a look. 🙏🩵

Khamchanod, Ban Dung 🙏
Khamchanod legend says that this city of Khamchanod has been passed down from generation to generation until the present. Khamchanod city is located in the northeast of Ban Dung district, Udon Thani province. It is currently in the area of Ban Non Muang, Village No. 11, Ban Muang sub-district, Ban Dung district, Udon Thani province. People have moved to settle here and started their families in Ban Non Muang, which is about 21 kilometers away from Ban Dung district. The surrounding area is a source of Khlong Klam water. There are trees growing in an area of about 20 rai. This type of tree is called the Chanod tree. It has a special characteristic similar to a palm tree, but the trunk is taller, longer, and smaller than the palm tree. It is about the same size as a coconut tree. The leaf stalks have long, sharp thorns. The leaves are similar to palm leaves. When the wind blows, they make a loud and eerie sound. The Chanod tree has small bunches of fruit, the size of a bunch of grapes. They are inedible. If you eat them, you will feel itchy mouth. The Chanod tree is a naturally occurring plant that has been around for thousands of years. The old generation has passed down this plant to be called the Chanod tree and believes that the city of Chanod It is assumed that it is called after the name of the Chanod tree.

Isan Ban Hao Farm, Udon Thani Province
This is another place that I would like to recommend to visit. The atmosphere is like being in the Nai Hoi era. There are cows, buffaloes, and horses being raised. There are also local products for sale, such as woven hats and indigo bags. Inside, there are food and drinks available. The staffs are also very attentive. The food is delicious. The wait is not long. The bathrooms are very clean. There are rooms in old wooden houses. They are very beautiful and charming. The prices are not expensive. There are also activities such as riding a cart around the place and horseback riding.

168 Ban Nakhamchanot
Another place that many people miss when they go to Kham Chanod is 168 Ban Nak Kham Chanod, located at the entrance of Wat Kham Chanod. Many people look at it superficially and think that it is just a shop selling amulets related to the Naga. But little do they know that inside the shop, there is a Naga cave that is open for free viewing and free photo taking without having to buy anything from the shop. Currently, the Naga cave is under construction to be complete, but some parts are open for viewing. Let the pictures describe the atmosphere inside the cave. I would like to recommend everyone to stop by, come and see, and you will love it. #Another1unseenthailand #MustVisitPlacesEveryoneMustSee #Thailand #MustSeeForMuay #MustSeeForNaga
Khamchanod
This is the first time in my life that I have been to this place. There are a lot of people but it is not chaotic. The organization of the visit and the order of worship is very systematic. It is excellent. All the staff manage and take good care of the tourists. But there are a lot of lottery sellers. There are a lot of them everywhere and in every atom of this place.
Pa Kham Chanod Forest, Wang Nakin, Udon Thani
Khamchanod is a floating island filled with chanod trees. It is a place that appears in local legends. It is believed to be the residence of the Naga King Pu Sri Sutho and Ya Sri Pratumma. When you enter the area of Khamchanod, you will feel the coolness. The hot air outside will feel indescribably cool when you come here because it is covered with a large chanod forest. The chanod trees are strange trees that look like a mix of coconut trees, areca palm trees, and palm trees. It has been confirmed that they only exist here.
Open for viewing every day from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Here at Khamchanod, near the lottery draw date, who wouldn't think of
Come and pay homage to the Lord Sri Suttho for good luck in life
The temple has organized everything in an orderly manner, from the parking lot, the bathroom, the place to buy the bai sri tray, which is quite well organized
Due to the COVID situation, you have to make a reservation in advance and enter to pay homage at the right time. Your temperature will be taken before entering. The entrance to pay homage is quite peaceful and shady. When you get there, someone will help you stand at the distance points
After you finish paying homage and presenting the tray, there will be instructions to walk along the path to pay homage to another Buddha image and walk to the Naga pond as the last point. Turn around in the same direction and exit the same way you came in
Everything would be great if we didn't meet the lottery vendors who were trying to buy tickets. They wouldn't force us to buy tickets, we couldn't just follow 1 or 2 people, but we had to refuse 10 lottery vendors. Some of them followed us to our car, which we felt was quite a threat to our privacy. Instead of being satisfied with the merit we just made, it made us feel bad

(Kham Chanot Wang Nakhin) One of Thailand’s most amazing and efficacious temples, the Phrayana Temple
I went there for the second time. This time I went to fulfill a vow (I heard about the 100 million lottery in Malaysia, hahahaha, just kidding). Because I heard from my Thai friends that there are many temples in the northeast. This temple is very effective. So I flew all the way from Malaysia to ##udonthani (it took a whole day to fly back and forth). This time I saw 3 people pushing wheelchairs. Two old people and a child. It was very tiring and sunny, but it was worth going. It was really sunny, so you must take good sunscreen. #Thailand Free Travel
