Memories of Algeria
Some unforgettable places of Alger
When I was in my office today, I received a notification which reminds me this day last year was my first day in Alger. My first journey of the Africa continent.
All of a sudden, bunch of memories came back once again.
When I first arrived, I approached the city with a sense of total novelty. When I look to the left, I see the gleaming airport terminal, the luxury hotels with their bright lights, the bank buildings with their glass walls glittering in the sunset; while on the right side of the road, there are low, plain, rustic residential buildings, the tip of the Xuan Li tower with an old, worn-out loudspeaker, and the smoke billowing from the barbecue restaurants on the roadside ...... This is a Both modern and traditional city.
A lot of lovely places:
💕 Kasbah of Algiers - World Heritage - Poor safety conditions
Le Grande Poste d`alger,The Grand Mosque.....

Along the Mediterranean coast, a landmark building, the century-old post office
Algeria·Africa The post office, with a history of more than 110 years, has become a landmark building of a city, which is the Algiers Grand Post Office in the capital of North Africa, Algeria.
Algiers is a city with an interesting distribution of old and new towns. The old town is on the hillside, and if you want to visit the ancient city, you have to climb the mountain; if you want to stroll through the new town, you just walk along the Mediterranean coast. The old post office is located on the People's Square along the Mediterranean coast, lined up with many European-style buildings around it. It was designed by two French engineers and took Algerians 5 years to build.
The post office is a typical Moorish-style building with three horseshoe-shaped arches and a domed arch, which is a very eye-catching building in People's Square. The post office is currently undergoing interior renovations, preparing to be converted into a museum, and we can only admire this grand building with a long history from the outside.
Guarding the People's Square, this is also the busiest place in the city, with shops and coffee stalls around the square, bustling with people. Seeing Chinese tourists appear in the square, Algerians will show a bright smile. Among the three North African countries, only Algeria has the most Chinese people. They are the builders of our country's Belt and Road construction projects and are a group that is highly respected among the locals. Therefore, in Algeria, we feel the enthusiasm and respect of people from a foreign land, and some young people take the initiative to take photos with us to commemorate.
