The location is excellent, right on the Nile River. However, the rooms are quite small. The breakfast restaurant was good, offering outdoor seating right by the Nile to enjoy your meal. A ferry to Elephantine Island is conveniently located right next to the hotel, which was very handy.
1. The hotel is new, and the staff is very friendly. They don't ask for tips, but we gave them a £50 tip because they were so friendly.
2. The room was spacious, with a view of the Nile. Compared to the rooms at the Old Falls, which are over £3,000, the rooms over £3,000 are just plain shabby.
3. The breakfast was good, but we didn't have time to eat. They packed it for us when we left at 4:00 AM.
4. It's a bit remote, so after taking a taxi, you have to walk a bit on a dirt road.

This is a very contradictory B&B hotel that I don't know if it is worth recommending. Its shortcomings and advantages are very prominent. It is suitable for Internet celebrities to make photos (the following photos are all original photos without retouching), but it is not suitable for anyone who has certain requirements for ”accommodation” itself. If you can find any cheap + clean + similar scenery alternative hotel, it is recommended to change it, but if it is just for taking pictures and scenery, it may be ranked at the top in Nubian Village.
First of all, you have to be able to tolerate:
1. The hotel price is not cost-effective in the peak season, and the B&B offers the price of a five-star hotel.
2. Poor room facilities, rough-style furniture and narrow rooms, worrying bed sheets, bathroom shower water overflowing and drainage is useless, no slippers, toothbrushes, hair dryers (phone front desk can provide).
3. The breakfast is self-service and extremely simple and unpalatable, unlike some people who commented on the set and inexplicably praised it.
4. Tolerate or pay more to continue to tolerate the complaints of the chartered driver to drive into Nubian Village, and then contact the hotel by yourself in the middle of the night to change to a three-wheeled motorcycle in the deserted and dark mountains for 15 minutes to doubt life and reach the mountaintop hotel.
5. Other prices are very unreasonable. We originally wanted to book dinner for the New Year's Eve party, but it cost 100 US dollars per person...
What did we get here?
1. The balcony of the room can see the unbeatable sunrise on the west bank of the Nile. We witnessed the first light of 2025 here at 6 am.
2. The various poses in the cultural buildings of the Nubian Village are very photogenic.
3. The desert next to the hotel is very photogenic.
4. A very special cultural experience of a group of tourists jumping up and down the mountain in a row of three-wheeled vehicles.
5. The hotel service staff is relatively friendly. Finally, it is explained that Egypt is not a country where tipping is allowed. Carrying luggage is a basic service of any hotel in their country. No one asked for tips during the entire stay.
After reading the mixed reviews online, I decided to book the hotel after some consideration. The experience wasn't as I'd feared. I called ahead and the hotel sent a car to pick me up at the airport on time with a sign (20 dollars), which was about the same as a taxi, but saved me a lot of hassle. The hotel was newly renovated, the rooms were spacious, the air conditioning was powerful, the facilities were good, and the rooms were clean. This is a rooftop guesthouse with a small pool and direct access to a large terrace, similar to the Basma Hotel below. Breakfast is served in a restaurant with stairs down to the main floor. There's a wide variety of dishes, but it's a standard European breakfast, which Chinese people might not be used to. If it weren't for the intense sun during the day, it would be quite relaxing to just lie outside. The river views were great morning and evening. The hotel staff were very polite. Although the language barrier was a bit high (my English was poor), they were always helpful with any requests. In the evening, they even offered welcome fruit, wine, and snacks. When I arrived, they also offered me wine and drinks while I was relaxing on the terrace. For the price, it felt like excellent value. I don't get this kind of service in China at this price.
The breakfast was too perfunctory. Although it is a new hotel in Aswan, don't have too high expectations. There is no parking lot in the hotel, and it was scratched when I parked on the roadside.
The Old Cataract Hotel was *the* reason I came to Aswan!! The ambiance is simply unparalleled. I highly recommend staying in the new wing; the views are even better! For those who want to experience the old building, you can book a tour to see Agatha Christie's room. And the breakfast was absolutely divine!
Very good hotel, very convenient for travel, the scenery is also good, good value for money, economical and affordable, the room is very quiet, the food is also delicious, you can drink duck, it's great, hehe, happy
Everything was great – the facilities are brand new, the service was excellent, and it was very quiet. The only minor issue is its location, as it's quite far from the city center, about 12 kilometers away. Be prepared to pay $30 if you choose to use the hotel's car for a trip downtown.
The boss is very welcoming, the balcony has a great view, and although the luggage is heavy, the boss will help with it. He is a very nice person and highly recommends everyone to stay here!

GGuest UserOld-style hotel. On a slope. It's OK to walk to the dining area. It's really inconvenient to be on the slope.
Compared with the hotel in the previous trip. The facilities of this hotel are really old. But it's still clean and tidy. There's nothing wrong with it. It's just that compared with the new equipment, the cost performance is really not high enough. Because the price of the hotel in the previous trip is similar, but the experience is better.
The room has its own balcony. It's OK to dry clothes.
The hotel has its own restaurant. The breakfast variety is also quite satisfactory, but I personally feel that there are not many things I can eat. Generally, I just eat omelette and fruit. Other bread slices or some beans, I don't like to eat.
My friend booked a room facing the river. But because it is on the slope and not so close to the river, this river view room is not so cost-effective.
The view of the swimming pool. It is indeed a good place for this hotel to be photographed. We also saw someone holding a wedding here that day.
It's really unfriendly to take a taxi in this city. Compared with other cities, the drivers here are really...

GGuest UserWhat you see is what you get, very cute place. The whole village is super cute in dopamine style! Breakfast is delicious, you can eat on the balcony and the scenery is particularly good, directly see the Nile! The sister of the homestay also took me to touch the little crocodile for free! Super experience! This small village is especially suitable for hanging out and relaxing for a leisurely day!

ZZhilvdeshenquThere aren't many hotels in this remote place like Aswan, so don't ask too much. Those who have been to Egypt know the situation of hotels, so there's no need to say more. This hotel doesn't provide water, so you may need to prepare it in advance. The balcony can see the Nile River, with a road in the middle. The guy at the front desk was very enthusiastic. I asked about taking the bus to Abu Simbel. I didn't have time to eat breakfast because I had to catch the bus. In fact, judging from the results, it was edible. It was very fast to take a taxi from the hotel to the bus station, and the bus was also slow and started half an hour late. Going there early was mainly to buy tickets in advance to avoid the tickets being sold out due to the large crowds, although it was unlikely.
GGuest UserAmazing time ,basic rooms ,but clean beds towels. Hot shower and the best view but 100% of the credit for our amazing time goes, to helma the manager and his staff especially khalid who was there for everything we needed , Helmy went above and beyond driving us to the sights for less than.a taxi , but the most amazing was. The Nile under our Balcony full of. Feluka boats to take you to ancient temples and delicious waterside cafes and historic islands this hotel might look nothing.but if you want the true Nubian experience of aswanth8s 8s the place for you ,basic breakfast of bread honey eggs and cheese with tomatoes for the price amazing ,, Linda and ivy uk x
AAngelo AmanteIt’s one of if not the best hotel in Aswan, situated in an exclusive island with an amazing view of the Nile and Nubian village. The staff was super comforting and lovely. There’s a shuttle boat that runs 24 hours to the main center of Aswan. I had an incredible time here. <3
