We had an amazing stay at this lovely homestay! The place was clean, cozy, and felt just like home. The owner went above and beyond to make our stay special, even gifting us a Christmas-themed pen as a thoughtful surprise. It’s the small gestures like this that truly make a difference! Lovely hotel and wonderful service - the hotel has been renovated and has a very fresh and clean vibe. Rooms are very comfortable, beds are great! The service is magnificent. We were traveling with a 1,5 y/o and the staff was amazing! They were very sweet towards our little girl and actually sort of playing with her and giving her toys for loan. Most child friendly hotel we have every stayed at!! Easy access to get to the hotel and from hotel to Basel down town city centre. Great location, especially when traveling through to another location (in our case our stay was family in Basel, traveling to Kaprun for ski vacation)

Apart from the staff (who were really friendly and helpful) I can’t find anything to recommend this hotel. The first room we were given, the air conditioning didn’t work. The reception lady very kindly moved us to a different room but the air conditioning didn’t work either. The shower head was missing the proper bracket so you could only shower holding the spray head. The mattress on the bed was quite thin and not comfortable. Unless you have a dedicated Swiss adapter you can’t use any of the electrical sockets as they are all recessed into a triangular socket plate. So we couldn’t charge a phone or use my hairdryer (there isn’t one provided in the room). There is the option to buy an adapter from reception (the Swiss do like getting you to part with your money). Also, if you need to park your car it’s 10 Swiss francs a night. We stopped over for 1 night to break up a long drive from Italy to Calais, but won’t be stopping again.

Am nächsten Tag verlief das Check-In problemlos und die Mitarbeiter waren zu jeder Zeit sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. ZIMMER Diese sind gross, sauber und zweckmässig eingerichtet. Für Familien ist das Familienzimmer ideal - und sehr fair im Preis! FRUEHSTUECK Dies nahmen wir im zugehörigen Coop-Restaurant ein - und auch dieses Buffet war grosszügig, frisch und fein. LAGE 2 Minuten vom Tram, das in wenigen Minuten in die Basler Innenstadt fährt. Mit der Gästekarte ist der öV dabei - super! Wir können dieses Hotel nur weiterempfehlen!

Reception was very quick and efficient and the elevator is right next to it. The restaurant is across the hall from the reception. The room was a bit small but clean. The only odd thing throughout the hotel and even going into the restaurant is that there are small little dips going from the main floor into the restaurant, maybe only a half inch. It was the same going into our room. Slight step into the room then a short hallway with a slight dip again. Breakfast was good and the staff was super helpful. Appreciated the free transit pass.
