Introduction Turkish Bath Experiences in Turkey

Introduction
Some information may have been translated by Google Translate
Turkish bath, also known as Hamam, is a unique bathing culture in Turkey that has a history of thousands of years and provides tourists with a unique and unforgettable experience. Turkish baths are usually built of stone, with beautifully decorated interiors full of oriental flavor. The temperature inside the bathroom is extremely high, making people sweat profusely, just like a sauna. There are stone benches around the bathroom, and in the middle is a marble platform about half a meter high, known as the "belly stone". This stone is heated internally and maintained at around 40°C. Lying on it can soothe the meridians throughout the body. Here, tourists can not only enjoy a comfortable bathing environment, professional massage and bathing services, but also make new friends, taste delicious food, and feel the local cultural atmosphere.

A Quiet Escape at IGA Lounge – Istanbul Airport

#celebrateit If you're traveling through the bustling Istanbul Airport, the IGA Lounge is a perfect place to relax and unwind. While the airport can be chaotic, this lounge offers a peaceful, spacious retreat. It’s the ideal spot to escape the noise and enjoy a bit of comfort before your flight. The lounge is impressively quiet and spacious, allowing travelers to truly stretch out and enjoy their time. The atmosphere is calm, making it easy to relax or catch up on work. The food offerings are diverse and delightful, featuring everything from savory meals to sweet treats. I particularly enjoyed the rich, moist pound cake and the buttery, melt-in-your-mouth cookies – a great way to satisfy any craving. **Reasons to Visit:** - Quiet, spacious atmosphere to relax away from the crowd. - Delicious food selection, especially their cakes and cookies. 📍Address: Istanbul Airport, Istanbul, Turkey #Istanbul #Turkey

Istanbul 4 Days Travel Guide

Istanbul 4 Days Travel Guide

My recommendations for Istanbul. Get a ferry, and have a nice Bosphorus tour, try very popular Hafiz Mustafa sweets! Also if you want to eat traditional food, you would need to go to the places with “tarihi” (ancient/old) word. Such places have be open 100-200, and more years, and often high quality! Additionally for the walk I would recommend Bebek, Rumeli hisari, Macka! If you have time, visiting princes’ islands is must have!

Perfect Istanbul Itinerary

Perfect Istanbul Itinerary

1. Address - Bosphorus Boat Tour ⛴️ Highlights - stunning views!! Definitely recommend going on the sunset cruise. You can get a ticket by the bridge for so cheap - around 200 lira for one person! Rating - 10/10 2. Address - Istiklal Street 🛍️ Highlights - soooo much to do ( especially shopping )! You can find such cheap gifts and souvenirs on this strip, also some amazing food spots which are also cheap. Rating - 10/10 3. Address - Moss Lounge 🍴 Highlights - we went to this rooftop restaurant twice during our visit, absolutely delicious! Amazing view of both the mosque and overview of Istanbul. Shisha was also the best I have ever had - such good prices as well. Rating - 20/10 4. Address - Breakfast Spots 🍳 Highlights - Arada Beyrut is an amazing restaurant if you’re looking for authentic Lebanese/Turkish breakfast. Hospitality was amazing - this however was a bit more on the pricey side. Clementine is a more affordable breakfast location, located right on istiklal street so super convenient. Rating - 10/10

Istanbul citywalk | Taksim Square

Istanbul citywalk | Taksim Square

I have finally arrived at the other side of the Anywhere Door - Turkey! Istanbul citywalk, of course, I had to visit the city center's Taksim Square. / Taksim Square, the largest square in Istanbul, is the heart of the European New Town. The square is dominated by the Republic Monument, surrounded by high-rise buildings, and is very bustling. / At the same time, it is also a transportation hub of the New Town area, with subways, cable cars, and buses all stopping here for transfers, so many tourists come here to check in. / The whole square is really spacious, but there are also many fun and beautiful things to see. ✔️ Next to Taksim Square is the Taksim Mosque, grand and magnificent, and those interested can go inside for a visit. ✔️ There is a large flock of pigeons on the square, not afraid of people, where you can feed the pigeons. ✔️ The tram on Independence Avenue also passes through the square, and you can take photos with the tram here! ✔️ Around the square, there are also many local specialty snacks and many old shops! / ⭕️ 'Transportation Strategy': Take buses 46c/54e/66 and more to 'taksim tunel' and get off.

A fantastic Cruise experience

The bosphorus is the lifeline of everything in Istanbul. It is practically part of most tourist sights and you are never away from it. You experience it from different corners of the city and it is one of the elements that add to a serene vibe. I have come to become fond of it over my stays in Istanbul. One of the best ways of exploring the beauty of the Bosphorous is via one of the cruises. While you will not be short of options when it comes to these tours. You want to be careful with what you pick. This is an experience that can accentuate with the right cruise. I have done both day time and night time cruises. The night ones include music, performances and dinner. It can be noisy for some but very lively. While the day time cruises are more quiet and serene. They allow you to observe the city of Istanbul. Around the eminonu pier you will find many options. But you are also likely to fall into a tourist trap, overpay for poor quality cruises. Put some research in and seek a quality experience with limited people and good ratings. #myhiddengems #bosphorus #summerdestinations #bosphoruscruise #istanbul #100waysoftravel

A peaceful option

After having seen the more popular mosques such as hagia sophia and the blue mosque. Yeni cami or the new mosque was a peaceful and quieter experience. There were not many people around and the interiors in comparison were more colorful. It could have been the lack of popularity or that i was here right after a service. Mosques in Istanbul usually are shut to tourists/visitors during the prayer service hour. While not the very new as the name suggests. This mosque dates back to the 16th century. It's located walkable distance from the eminonu pier. For a noisy neighbourhood, it still stays comparatively quiet inside. I visited here after the spice market which is just next to it. This mosque is a good addition to the itinerary. If purely seeing a Turkish mosque is your intention. This one might even be a better option than the popular ones which are always crowded. #myhiddengems #yenicamimosque #istanbul #100waysoftravel #turkey #summerdestinations

Bosphorus Strait
10月好去處2024

Bosphorus Strait

The Bosphorus Strait, also known as the Istanbul Strait in Turkish, is a strait that lies between Europe and Asia. It is approximately 30 kilometers long, with the widest point being about 3,700 meters and the narrowest point about 700 meters. The Bosphorus Strait connects the Black Sea to the north and the Sea of Marmara to the south. Istanbul, Turkey's largest city, is situated on either side of the Bosphorus Strait, facing the Anatolian Peninsula. It is the primary maritime gateway for Black Sea coastal countries and the only navigable route connecting the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. Therefore, the Russian Black Sea Fleet must pass through the Bosphorus Strait to reach the Mediterranean. There are five transportation routes across the Bosphorus Strait: the July 15 Martyrs Bridge, the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, the Eurasia Tunnel (completed in 2016) for road traffic, and the Marmaray Tunnel for rail traffic. The famous strait, with its deep blue waters blending seamlessly with the sky, offers stunning scenery perfect for photography and travel. Highly recommended and not to be missed.

Çırağan Palace Kempinski 🗺️❤️

#fallingseason Nestled along the Bosphorus in Istanbul, Çırağan Palace Kempinski is a true autumn delight. The historical charm of this 19th-century Ottoman palace is enhanced by the vibrant hues of fall foliage, making it a magical setting. During my stay, the brisk autumn air added an extra layer of romance to the magnificent waterfront views. The hotel's opulent interiors, luxurious rooms, and impeccable service left a lasting impression. Dining on the terrace, surrounded by the warm colors of the season, while savoring Turkish and international cuisine was an unforgettable experience. In autumn, Çırağan Palace Kempinski radiates elegance and offers a glimpse into Istanbul's rich heritage. It's the ideal destination for a luxurious, culturally rich, and visually stunning autumn escape. #istanbul #instatravel #trip
