A prefecture city, an old street, spanning a thousand years, this is Ziyang Ancient Street in Linhai, Taizhou, Zhejiang. Every so often, you can see a wall made of blue bricks. The names of the walls have long been blurred and are barely recognizable. The names on the walls are place names. This Yongjing Wall, Wuzhen Wall, Fengxian Wall, Yingxian Wall, and Qinghe Wall were jointly established by five people, including the Ming Dynasty scholar Wu Zhiyu, in the nineteenth year of the Ming calendar. Each wall exudes an ancient charm. Despite the vicissitudes of time, these ancient buildings still retain their original appearance, making one marvel at the wisdom and architectural skills of the ancients.

Slow Life by the Sea | A B&B You Won't Want to Share

|A B&B you won't want to share. I went to Guoqing Temple during the day, and Linhai was a spontaneous decision. I planned to book a room after I arrived, but the hotel I wanted to book was full. I happened to see [Chengjian No. 1]. I habitually searched elsewhere, but there was little information and few reviews of the B&B. I was torn between driving home late at night and staying for a night. I can accept less-than-perfect attractions and food when traveling, but I can't compromise on accommodation. The B&B is next to the ancient city wall, within walking distance of Ziyang Ancient Street. It's easy to find, but the entrance is small and unassuming, which made me hesitate a little. But! I was pleasantly surprised after checking in! 🐯 The public area is quite spacious, with a wall full of books. I worked in the public area the next day (as a real estate agent, I have to bring my computer everywhere, haha). The receptionist thoughtfully brought me hot tea, which was a nice touch. ⛺️ The outdoor lawn is connected to the city wall, matching the slogan on the wall: [A Courtyard with a View of the City]. I had the courtyard to myself that night, and I could see the stars. It was quiet, and there were no annoying mosquitoes. The interior is minimalist, and the bedding is great. As a homebody, I was willing to stay for a few more days. After a busy week, spending a night in a comfortable place is the best way to relieve stress~ (The photos don't do it justice. You should experience it for yourself, hehe.) The nine-grid Chinese breakfast was too hearty for my small stomach. It included seasonal fruits, black rice porridge that tasted like home (a little sweet), and side dishes. It would have been perfect with some plain porridge. 📋 Just a few dozen meters from the hotel is [Zaiwang Bookstore], which is worth a visit. There weren't many people, and I spent a quiet afternoon reading. The B&B is secluded but not isolated. Linhai left me with an impression of leisure and a unique atmosphere. In short, it was a delightful trip, and I'll definitely return.

Inspired by a photo, I decided to go on a whim! I came across a picture of the Ruyi Bridge in Taizhou Shenxianju, a glass bridge shrouded in clouds and mist, seemingly suspended in mid-air. I was instantly captivated! After some research, I discovered Taizhou not only boasts mountains and seas, but is also a paradise for soft and chewy delicacies. I immediately grabbed my friends, booked tickets, and set off! Day 1: A Day of Exploring Natural Wonders 📍 Tiantai Mountain Grand Waterfall The "Grandest Waterfall in China" lives up to its name! Standing on the viewing platform, the mist sprays your face, and rainbows appear and disappear. Wearing a *hanfu* here makes for stunning photos (non-slip shoes recommended). After descending the mountain, I stopped by the former residence of Ji Gong and listened to the fascinating stories of the Living Buddha. 📍 Guoqing Temple A Sui Dynasty temple with a 1,400-year history, it's bustling with worshippers yet tranquil. The temple grounds are filled with ancient trees, and the vegetarian meal is only ¥5 for all you can eat, adding to the Zen-like atmosphere. For about 60 USD a night i think Vance offers very good value. The breakfast and facilities were decent. I might have used the gym, laundry and room service. All of it was satisfactory. The area is purely meant for by business. I mean it's a small town with a lot of luxury car show off and factories. The people staying here are a mix of business travellers and crazy rich pricks. It is impossible to find a room where some guy hasn't smoked. Even with lots of warnings written everywhere. Otherwise, quite decent. People are helpful and friendly. #chinatrip #taizhou
