Changchun One-Day Tour Itinerary

Changchun One-Day Tour Itinerary

This itinerary covers most of the attractions in Changchun if you only have one full day. If you have two days, you can visit Jingyuetan National Forest Park on the second day (picturesque, takes about 5 hours). If you have two and a half to three days, you can add the Former Sites of the Eight Departments of Manchukuo to your itinerary. —————— First stop: Take the subway to the farthest Manchukuo Imperial Palace (there is no time to visit the Northeast Fallen Museum). It takes about two or three hours to visit. Second stop: Walk from the Manchukuo Imperial Palace to the former site of the Tsarist Russian Consulate (currently the only open consulate site in Changchun) for about 10 minutes. The route can be searched on Baidu. You can have a simple lunch at the New World opposite. Third stop: Take a taxi to Songyuan Hotel, the former residence of the Kwantung Army Commander (currently under construction, optional). Fourth stop: Arrive at Changchun Film Studio before 4:30 pm (recommended to buy a joint ticket with the Manchukuo Imperial Palace, otherwise it is really not worth it). Enter for a visit. Fifth stop: The No. 54 tram stop is just across the road from Changchun Film Studio. Take a regular tram for two yuan (there is also a more expensive tourist special train). Get off at Nanyang Road Station. You can also see the cityscape of Changchun along the way. The section from Nanyang Road to Jingyang Avenue is full of green grass, which is the best place to take photos. Sixth stop: Take the No. 54 tram back to Changchun Film Studio. Get off and walk forward for a while, and you will see the famous shopping mall, This Is Mountain. Since you are here, why not check in? The itinerary is over, and you have visited most of the famous attractions. Find a place to have dinner.

🚞The Orange Hotel in Changchun is clean and tidy, very comfortable. The cost performance is really high, and they do a great job. 🏛🛀🏻The rooms are large, the beds are large, the mattresses are comfortable, and the pillows are also comfortable. The bathroom is clean and hygienic, and the toiletries are complete. 🖥☎️The room facilities are fully equipped, including a refrigerator, TV, etc. 🚝🏙The hotel environment is also good, parking is convenient, and it is very close to the train station. 🥃🥧There is a food street right opposite the hotel, and it's great for shopping and food. I will definitely stay here again next time I come to Changchun. The front desk service attitude of the hotel is also very good, making people feel at home. 🌈🌅In short, this hotel does a great job in all aspects and is worth staying in.

Take a Romantic Tram Ride @ Changchun

Nanyang Station (南阳路) - At this station, there is a spot to watch trams passing through the tree-lined path. If you come during the fall foliage season, it would be very beautiful. When we visited, only the branches were left, but it was still beautiful and felt very romantic. There was even a guy proposing to his girlfriend when we were there, which was super cute. - There are 2 tram lines in Changchun, 54 and 55, both of which stop here. The fare is 2 CNY for the entire route, and you can pay using Alipay when boarding. - There is also a special cultural tram line. You can buy tickets and board at Changying Station, with a fare of 88 CNY. - Transportation: In Changchun city, we took metro line 3 and got off at Kuanpung Qiao station. After exiting the station, you will see the tram and can wait to board it.

The ice city: Changchun

The ice city: Changchun

Looking over the South Lake Park at a higher place, a panoramic view can be gained. It shapes like a dumbbell that is narrow from east to west and long south to north. The water area is 96 hectares which is similar in size as that of Summer Palace in Beijing. The South Lake Park is the largest one in the downtown area of Changchun. The design related to South Lake Park was started by the Japanese in the Great New Capital City Plan. It was just made so by making use of the water source from Xinglong Channel of Yitong River and piling up a dam of 10 meters in height and 800 meters in length along today’s Gongnong Road. There is a bridge separating the lake into two parts. More than 60 years ago, there was also a bridge named Chuihong over the lake which was not structured by reinforced concrete but wooden material. In August 1948, the Kuomintang army burned it down in order to block hinder the liberation army. The bridge we see today was built in 1979 and its name originated from South Lake, and thus was named South Lake Bridge. The water area of South Lake is the largest, which serves as a park and meanwhile functions as a storage source of water of the city.

Has China's malls

Has China's malls

evolved to this extent???? I will always admire the designers of Changchun's malls. I visited two malls and it was like opening the door to a new world. Someone in the mall built a Hongya Cave directly, and there is a huge statue on the top of the mountain... The whole layout is crisscrossed, going upstairs is called climbing the mountain, and the shopping is so confusing. There is a giant little monk at the entrance of the mall!!! I heard that it walks every morning... and it changes clothes from time to time, really omg The other mall I visited directly replicated a version of Macau Venice. They even made a river... and this is not on the first floor!!! It's on the top floor... There is also a bookstore on the same floor that looks like Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Shangri-La Changchun | Real experience sharing.

Shangri-La Changchun | Real experience sharing.

💟Overall feeling ❤️An old five-star hotel with a good service concept. I was very satisfied with the service, from the bellboy helping with the luggage to the unexpected solutions to problems. ❤️Not far from the business district (1 min to Zhuozhan, full of big brands), attractions, and subway station (8 min walk). Many hotels in Changchun have good brands but are located in remote areas (such as the three hotels under Marriott), which is enough for me to choose for travel convenience. ❤️Some small details are very good: there is a three-plug charger at the bedside, so I am not afraid of forgetting to bring a charger. 💔The unsatisfactory part is mainly "old", such as the elevator and the way to enter the room is to insert the card (the direction must be completely fit) instead of swiping the card, and the room also needs to swipe the card. 🏡Room interior I booked a superior twin room this time. The room is relatively compact, but the facilities are complete. The overall decoration is wood-toned, and the paintings are very high-end. The bathroom supplies smell good, and the wet and dry areas are separated. There is a shower and a bathtub, but the view outside the window is relatively average. 👉The bed feels very comfortable, with moderate hardness. The height of the bed is also very suitable for my preference, soft but not high, very comfortable to sleep on! But the two beds in the twin room are very close, fortunately, this time I traveled with my family, if it was a colleague, it might be a little embarrassing. 💁Service experience 🍀The professionalism of the staff is highly praised. They will smile and greet you, making you feel not overly concerned, and no one will ignore you. The overall experience is very good! 🍽️Hotel breakfast 👉What impressed me as more local is: there are green onions with sauce in the salad area, and Harbin sausage (seems to be...) in the cold dishes. 😂 There are many ways to cook eggs on-site, and egg lovers are very satisfied! The freshly made mini fennel pie is also good. 👉The English category has Benedict eggs, and the Japanese style has small bowls of udon noodles, which are also delicious! 🕐Weekday and weekend times are different, and breakfast starts as early as 5:30! 💰Price: 600+/night 📍Location: No. 569, Xi'an Road, Chaoyang District

The first Banyan Tree in Northeast China - buffet - swimming - hot spring

The first Banyan Tree in Northeast China - buffet - swimming - hot spring

Great environment, newly opened, everything is new 🆕 After checking in at 6 pm, we first tried the all-day buffet restaurant. The oysters were super big and fresh, and the crabs were small but all alive and delicious. There were salmon, ice shrimp, fresh-cut sirloin, roasted durian, and other cooked dishes that were average. There is a Chinese restaurant with private rooms in the lobby building. There is also a banquet hall (for weddings 💒 or conferences). The building is huge, and we got lost on our way to the swimming pool and ended up in the kitchen 😂 We just took a look at the swimming and fitness area and went back to our room. The weather was cold, and the hotel had many small cars to take you to different buildings. Back in my room, I had a courtyard king room on the first floor with a door to the yard. The suite had a small living room, a guest bathroom, a private bathroom, and 2 bathrooms. There was a big bathtub, a large walk-in closet with an iron and a safe. I stayed in Building 20, and my friend stayed in Building 10, where the mahjong room and KTV were located. Reservations were required, and we didn't make any, so they were fully booked. The next day, we had breakfast at the same restaurant and then went to the swimming pool. There was an adult pool (27-28°C), a children's pool (0.5m) at 33°C, and a hot spring pool (38-39°C). The environment was great 💖 Next to it was the gym (not many fitness equipment, forgot to take photos). The hot spring and spa were in another building, with outdoor hot springs and iron pot stew. There was a private hot spring (I didn't go). The hot spring was not crowded, almost like a private one 😂 I didn't make a spa reservation, and after soaking in the hot spring until 3 pm, the front desk said there were only 2 therapists available after 5 pm, so I didn't wait. There were very few therapists, probably because it wasn't officially open yet. The spa was expensive... 90 minutes for 980, expensive, right? When I was leaving, a family of three was coming to play and inquiring at the front desk. I even introduced the place to the lady (e-personality burst). The front desk said it would open on the 24th, and they could come then. Overall, the environment was great, the place was big, and it was a great weekend getaway.
