Hotels in Unterstrass, Zurich

Dear EMA House Team (1 Nordstrasse Zurich) I have been staying with you on and off since May 2023. I cant rate you high enough, 5 Stars don't do justice. You are a fantastic team who have accommodated all my plan changes, even when it was at a short notice due to flight cancellations etc. The place is spotless and much better than any hotel in Central Zurich. I don't even think about looking for any other place in the city. I always feel very welcome when I arrive even when it was late at night. The suites are modern, clean, specious and very comfortable. Very close to the train station- a 10 minute walk. The room was very clean and spacious, with all amenities including a hair dryer. The aesthetics of the restaurant/breakfast area was very beautiful and a wide variety of choices for breakfast.

Possibly the only worst hotel in the Accor chain. They advertise their rooms to be air conditioned but they are not. They have an aircon panel in their room and a vent but they don’t work, most likely switched off centrally. When you ask they give you the run around: “it works” “city banned air conditioning in hotels” “change a room” but nope. It simply doesn’t work. Now, this weren’t a massive issue in autumn,spring etc but in a summer heatwave (33C) when a room is 25-26C then asking it be conditioned to an eco friendly 22C should not be an issue in a hotel that rates itself 4*. But it is. That’s the issue. This is a 3*property charging 4*prices. Apartments are also small -slightly bigger than their rooms in Ibis. But this is Zurich. I reckon Accor should reclass this as 3* slight lower the price to reduce the complaints. This hotel is after all the same as the ibis (it is the same building) the only difference is “apartment” having a desk and a kitchenette

We loved this hotel! Fabian and all of the front desk staff where amazing and made us feel so welcome. It's very close to the train station and walking distance to old town. Breakfast was also good in the M Lounge and the view from our junior suite was amazing. Our only complaint is the elevator situation. We almost missed our flight because it took us 30 minutes to get down. Only 2 out of 3 elevators where working the day we were leaving. Otherwise, it's a great hotel!

Auf keinen Fall würde ich je jemandem dieses Hotel zumuten. Der Preis ist günstig, ja, aber davon sollte man sich nicht locken lassen und lieber ein paar Franken mehr ausgeben. Die Lüftung war so laut dass kein Gespräch mehr geführt werden konnte. An den Wänden waren Blutspuren (????), im WC waren Kotspuren, die Türgriffe wurden wohl noch nie geputzt da sie klebrig und schmutzig waren, es gab keine Handseife, das Bett war kaputt (Kopfteil war tiefer als Fussteil), Nachttische gab es keine und das Bett war wohl nicht frisch bezogen. Der Boden war dreckig und die Haupttür hatte gar kein Schloss sodass jederzeit jeder sich in dem Gebäude aufhalten konnte. Zudem wurde durch die Lüftung ein starker ********geruch und später auch ein starker Zigarrengeruch ins Zimmer geblasen, der den aufdringlichen Thaiessengeruch, der vorgängig im Zimmer herrschte, sogar fast überdeckte. Es gibt kein Personal im Hotel welches man ansprechen kann. Der Lift wirkte nicht sicher, einige Knöpfe schienen nicht zu funktionkeren. Wir haben uns nach kurzem 15 minütigen Aufenthalt dazu entschieden, nicht in diesem Zimmer zu schlafen. Zum Glück ist das auschecken genau so unkompliziert wie das einchecken, sodass wir den Schlüssel einfach nur in die check-out Box werfen konnten und gehen konnten. Dieses ”Hotel” sollte direkt geschlossen werden.

Very nicely maintained hotel in a central location in Thun. Recently stayed a couple of nights in this location and found the hotel to be very well maintained, rooms were clean and less than ten minutes walk to the train station. Location made it quick to walk to train/ferry station to take a very enjoyable ferry ride ride on Lake Thun to then enjoy a day in Interlaken and then the train ride back. Staff that we encountered were great and very helpful answering questions. Highly recommend!

The hotel is very well located. However, the room is not completely clean! There are dirty stuffs on the floor, unfortunately. The price is good considering zurich is an expensive city. Reception people are very helpful. Overview, recommend to check it out when you visit Zurich.

This hotel is the most expensive and the worst hotel in Switzerland. The location is a bit far away from the railway station, a 20-minute walk, if bus 15 can be reached. The soundproofing of the room is not good, and the noise of the car outside and the children upstairs can't sleep. Other hotels in Switzerland have free transportation cards, which he does not have. The only good thing is that the capsule coffee machine is good

Very spacious, very comfortable and clean. Also an excellent location, in a quiet neighborhood but within walking distance to the city center. Stayed there twice and would stay again if I am in Zurich. Also the reception was very attentive to my requests. I would recommend it.
