Zurich District 9 Hotels

The good: (1) Price is decent, located 1 stop away from Zurich HB. Also has Coop and Migros nearby. Some restaurants around the train station but not many choices. (2) Bed and pillows are very comfortable The not so great: (1) No kettle provided, so don’t expect any free coffee / tea in the room, which you will normally expect. You need to get down to the lobby to get hot water which is super inconvenient (2) No fridge in the room, so expect to consume all cold drinks etc unless you want lukewarm drinks (3) No safe in the room Technically, expect a super basic room with just bed, tv and toilet. Not something I expect from a Mercure brand.

The front desk of this hotel is off work at five o'clock every day. I don't know what time in the morning because we go out earlier every time. It is too suitable for young people to live here. Everything is modern, especially the mobile phone check-in. The elevator is operated by mobile phones. It is really not suitable for us. After all, I am used to regular hotels. The hotel TV cannot be used on the day of check-in. No one can contact us. I finally contacted Trip.com . The next day I changed the TV to solve the problem of watching TV. Trip.com The customer service was very intimate and returned to visit us, but I encountered a situation where the phone was out of power. Fortunately, when I went back to the hotel that day, someone was still on duty, I was thinking, if the front desk is off work, how can I go upstairs and enter the room without electricity on my mobile phone? Staying in a hotel should be people-oriented, consider the convenience of operation, and obey the habits of the guests, so that there will be better business and reputation. It is recommended that older people who do not use mobile phones should not choose this hotel. The location of the hotel is not bad, it is very convenient to take the 30th bus from the train station, and the health is also good. You can cook in the room. There are pots and pans induction cookers. In short, people have their own habits. I express my personal feelings. In addition, there is a man in the hotel like the person in charge, or quite enthusiastic. Hardware configuration is suitable for young people!

My heartfelt thanks to the lovely Guest Service Agents Natali, Rafael and the young pretty lady. They are really helpful and professional in rendering help as well as getting my queries answered. The breakfast is nice though variety can be improved. I particularly love the museli cereal with big choco chunks. The kiwi they provided during breakfast is very sweet too. This apt is less than 15 mins walk from Altstetten. They provide all-in-one shampoo/bath wash/hand wash and body lotion. Do note that they do not have air con system.

Fine for a business traveler. For couples...eh. Walls are pretty thin as stated. The ”lounge” is just a room on the 9th floor with a TV and some games. There's no deadbolt on the door. That being said, the sunrise corner room gets unbeatable views! Also, classic European bathroom where water just gets... everywhere when showering. So it's solid for a night in Zurich but not sure I could recommend it for a week of travel or if you're looking for something romantic.

The hotel is very conveniently located. You don't know if there is a small railway 50 meters away. You can buy tickets directly next to the railway. Ticket checking in Switzerland is very strict. There are still people checking tickets after 11 o'clock in the evening. Remember to keep your tickets when you travel. The room is cozy and quiet overall. The window can be opened completely. It feels good to sit by the window and eat instant noodles and look at the scenery outside the window. Compared with other European hotels I have stayed in before, the breakfast has fewer varieties, but the breakfast service is very good. In general, it is enough to enjoy a breakfast

This time I was traveling and stayed at this hotel recommended by a friend. The room was very nice and the attitude of the service staff was also very good. It was very nice. I will come back next time.
