Hotel Hecht is a great alternative for an affordable stay in Zurich! The location is great, only 15min walk away from the train station and right in the centre of the city. The room we stayed in was small but it had everything you need. Their receptionist, Angela, was great and welcomed us with a big smile and a lovely and professional approach. We also had a chat to her when we got a drink from their bar and she was fantastic. We really enjoyed our short stay and were thrilled that we could find an affordable option in Zurich at such late notice (we booked only a couple of days before our arrival)

I've stayed here a few times on business the location is great with a tram stop 3 mins walk, even the Central Train Station is in walking distance. There are plenty of good restaurants and bars within 5 mins walk or less It's a typical small quaint European hotel, closer to a bnb than one of the big chain hotels. Accommodating, comfortable, clean and convenient loaction

Dishonest and exploitative. I booked Hotel Hecht at 23:50 while on a delayed train, and messaged immediately that I’d arrive at 01:45. The owner contacted me outside Booking to say check-in closed at 00:00 — just 10 minutes after my booking — and refused to accommodate me or cancel without charging the full amount. She then redirected me to another hotel, Hotel Splendid, claiming it belonged to a “friend.” In reality, she owns both hotels — they’re at the same address. It was a scam to collect even more money from me. Disgraceful behaviour. Zero ethics. Avoid at all costs.

Accueil très froid dès le début. Un ascenseur bloqué, une chambre propre et fonctionnelle. Il manque toutefois des linges de main et de sol pour la sortie de douche. Beaucoup de poussière sur la TV. Cuvette des WCs mal fixée. Le prix est ok pour un hôtel bien situé. Bouteille d’eau offerte à la réception à notre arrivée.

Terrible
El servicio de recepción terrible, no había persona en recepción y estaba cerrado el hotel, estuvimos 1 hora afuera del hotel con lluvia y frío esperando a que llegara alguien del hotel, no había ningún teléfono para comunicarnos y el que está registrado en hoteles.com decía fuera de servicio
