Helvetia Hotel exceeded my expectations, offering a much better experience than suggested by the photos on the booking site. The place is impeccably clean—even the shower screen was nearly spotless.
The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s rest. The bathroom was brightly lit and generous in size, with shampoo, soap and body lotion in different glass bottles. I particularly appreciated the cozy common room near the lobby, where guests enjoy a cup of Nespresso or tea, courtesy of the hotel.
The location is convenient, with a large supermarket just a one-minute walk away and at least two cafes within walking distance. However, it’s about a 15-minute walk from the main station, which might be a consideration for some travelers.
Overall, it’s a solid choice, and I’d definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Zurich.

Great stay, hotel have nice and simple design , heating floor. Cons the front desk isn't 24 hours, they will provide you code for the door.

Very nice hotel and reasonably priced for Switzerland. A few glitches e.g. air-conditioning not great and trying to get the shampoo/conditioner out of the bottles seemed impossible. Otherwise nice to have a balcony and really nice stuff

Wonderful.location, near to train station. We were on 4th floor vv quiet. Small room but everything we wanted. Easy to walk around the city. Good restaurants and bars close by. Please note...plug sockets not like anything we have seen anywhere but hotel loaned us adaptors Highly recommended

Zeer mooi hotel in het centrum van Zürich, zeer goede ligging. Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame medewerkers, mooie koffieruimte beneden. Ook een lekker, eenvoudig ontbijt. Ideale uitvalbasis.

I have to say, we were pretty disappointed based on the pictures and reviews prior to visiting. We reserved a “medium” room (cozy/medium/large were the options from what I remember) , I can’t imagine how small a “cozy” must be. We had room 34 and it was very small. In reading about the property it said it was air conditioned and showed a rooftop area. The AC was a portable unit that had to be vented through an open window. It was hot out and there was a decent amount of street noise, not ideal with an open window. The rooftop area is only for private events, the website is a bit misleading. Anyway…. The room definitely was small, showed signs of wear and the AC unit took up a lot of space in what was already a cramped room. We stayed in Zurich, Munich, Salzburg and Prague on this trip. This was the most expensive hotel, and was our least favorite of the ones we stayed in. I will say the employees were nice enough and helpful. The location is good and being close to the train station was nice. Just not what we expected.
