Fred Hotel Zürich Hauptbahnhof

Don't book this hotel! We've been on a month-long European trip, visiting the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Grindelwald, Switzerland. All the hotels we booked online were pretty good, but this one was absolutely terrible! I specifically booked a suite, but it was incredibly small and poorly designed, with a sloping roof. The main issue was the poor quality of the facilities. There was no warmth at all upon moving in, and it was freezing cold at night. It was late August, and the room was freezing! The basin wouldn't drain, so you had to wait forever to wash. The basin was full of water and wouldn't drain. Even worse, there was no hot water that night. We complained, and they said it was because we hadn't let it run long enough. We ran it for over half an hour, but it still didn't work. The next day, they pretended to come and fix it. I saw other guests had the same experience, so this is their standard tactic! The breakfast was inedible. It couldn't be any simpler. We're not particularly picky about food, so we felt there was nothing to eat, and the variety was minimal. It's not even comparable to budget hotels in China. Family, don't stay here, don't stay here. I really regret booking this hotel! Bad review! ! ! !

The location is very convenient, right near the train station and not far from tourist attractions, within walking distance. The room was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful.
