Hotels near Bahnhofstrasse, Zurich

We really enjoyed our trip to Zurich and the Boutique Hotel Pltzhirsch was one of those reasons. It is in a very convenient place, with plenty of restaurants steps away. It is clean and quiet. Our room had a beautiful bay window. The management is very helpful and the restaurant breakfast buffet was excellent. We highly recommend this property.

Cozy hotel conveniently located in old town Zurich. We stayed here for 4 nights in May and had reserved 2 rooms for 3 adults. We got rooms on the first floor conveniently close to each other and we're decent size for the location. Rates are a bit pricey like other hotels in Zurich but the amenities of the property, location and most importantly the hotel staff make the choice value for money. Located nearby all attractions, transportation and restaurants there's plenty of choice. The breakfast spread is amazing and a great start to the day. Excellent breads, cereals, salmon, meats and eggs cooked to order. Coffee machine. The staff are very helpful don't hesitate asking for local recommendations that one wouldn't otherwise be aware of. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Would highly recommend.

We stayed in both the main hotel and in the guesthouse across the alley and were quite satisfied if both facilities knowing they been renovated within the last year. The main hotel is right around the corner from Zürich HB the rooms feature a nice private bath (new, big & clean) and nice modern styling. The guesthouse as new and stylish as hotels go, but the modular bath/shower unit with its semi-transparent blue glass leaves a lot to be desired when everyone in the room knows what your doing on toilet (very little privacy). We luckily are prepared and carry large binder clips and clipped a bath towel across the glass during our stay. The staff are amazing and extremely cordial. Free coffee/tea is offered 24/7 in the main hotel and on each floor. Guest house residents must go back across the alley to the main lobby. Day tour buses are right across the street for easy access. We would stay again definitely.

The apartment was lovely we had a studio, every single item in the kitchen looked like it had never been used, it was immaculate and had everything you needed to cook a small dinner for two. The bed was really comfortable with an assortment of pillows and the bathroom had a really big comfortable bath. Overall really pleased with the quality. The area was brilliant you could walk into Zurich or get a bus, tram or train from directly outside the hotel. There was also a Starbucks and supermarkets with pretty much anything you needed. Oh and reception smells really nice (they are scented)

The front desk was friendly and there were many reviews saying that luggage was stored, but it was self check-in, so luggage storage was not possible. It was difficult to find it anywhere on Trip.com. Something different than expected... Even though I wrote down the country code and cell phone number well, the message needed for self check-in did not come, and the central entrance door was being repaired. may have done It seems that the information written here on Treat.com does not work well with hotel check-in. E-mail and phone number were written as they were. Even though I'm not Chinese, my Chinese number was my number. There was no luggage storage, but when I went to check-in, they said they couldn't get in because it was still not cleaned. I think I entered after 1 hour and 30 minutes before the check-in time. After 4:30? However, there was no apology or apology, just wait 5 minutes, wait 10 minutes, that's all. It's been a while and I'm embarrassed to wait longer... embarrassment point -Self check-in: I'm glad I got a text message and had the online key on my phone... i can't even get a text -Check-in time: Even if you arrived after a long time, you have to wait longer; Good point - Close to the station - On a hill but close to the tram - Anyway, it's clean. - Quiet - Air conditioning works well - Spacious bathroom

Dear EMA House Team (1 Nordstrasse Zurich) I have been staying with you on and off since May 2023. I cant rate you high enough, 5 Stars don't do justice. You are a fantastic team who have accommodated all my plan changes, even when it was at a short notice due to flight cancellations etc. The place is spotless and much better than any hotel in Central Zurich. I don't even think about looking for any other place in the city. I always feel very welcome when I arrive even when it was late at night. The suites are modern, clean, specious and very comfortable. I’ve never been so disappointed in my entire life. Today is Christmas Eve also the date of our check in at Five, in Zurich. When we arrived there was no one to help with our luggage or valet our vehicle. So we drove away from the front of the building and proceeded to park in public parking. We carry our three checked bags and our carry ons up a hill and all the way to the lobby, for the valet attendant to finally help us with our luggage and when I mean help I loaded in on the trolly and started pushing it and he kinda of just came and took over after I was already in the building and at the reception desk. After checking in we proceeded to our room, I went to get into the shower after a long day of travel and noticed the shower wasn’t draining and the bathroom was flooding. So we called and they said they were sending someone up. After about 45 minutes and three phone calls someone finally arrived. After they messed with the drain for 15 minutes they told us we needed a new room. So now we have to wait for someone to come and bring us to our new room as they requested. They told us they already check out the room/bathroom and everything was ok. Well it wasn't, this time the shower head was spraying water all over the ceiling and of course now they have to move us to a new room again. This all took about 3 hours which completely wasted our night and our Christmas Eve, I would expect that after all this they would at least would at least buy us a dinner or put us in a better room but nothing, not even a sorry from the front desk for this horrible inconvenience on Christmas Eve. They finally room they gave us didn’t even have conditioner or an outlet for the blow dryer for my fiancé to finally shower in the 3rd same level room.

The hotel is located in a quiet area. Around banks, cafes and restaurants, there is a place to eat. Shops are also, all on foot available. To the airport or t.d. station go 30 minutes. Rooms are small but comfortable. Of the downsides - there are no many hygiene sets. The hotel is worth its money!

The hotel is just opposite the convention center, with convenient transportation and dining. The room size is worthy of 4-star standards in Europe. The room does not have an ironing board, which is not like the configuration of Holiday Inn.

Love, love, love this place! We were actually sad to leave. Booked it as we wanted a hotel with a kitchenette because we have a toddler to feed. The hotel is of a very high quality (and quite posh, actually). Very professional staff. My toddler loved the space to play. We never ate at the restaurant. Just bought our breakfast from the local supermarkets. So can't comment on their breakfast or restaurant. Has a nice little gym area, lovely big lobby area to sit in and a small outdoor space hidden away too (just go out to the outside restaurant seating area and turn left). All of which we enjoyed! I wasn't sure if the location would work when we booked this, as it's not in the city centre, but it turned out to have so many perks, we would rather stay here than anywhere in the city centre if we came again to Zurich! Perks include being really close to a big train station that can take you to loads of places very quickly, including the airport and city centre, etc. Lots of supermarkets and restaurants within easy walking distance, you're actually spoilt for choice. It's much calmer than the city centre so sometimes it felt like a welcome relief to come back here. Lovely green spaces nearby to take children and it felt very safe. There are 2 laundry rooms but you have to go to reception to book a slot to use them. One of the receptionists gave us tips to use it, which was invaluable as we were short on time. Another receptionist had no clue, and booked us in for too short a slot, just FYI! Can get very busy, so you need to book a couple of days in advance. There is no way to buy single portions of detergent so you will end up buying a household-size pack from one of the supermarkets. None in the hotel's vending machine, as one of the receptionists had suggested to us, unfortunately. We gave our box to reception, so hopefully some guests won't have to buy like we did!
