Hotels with Breakfast in Zilina

the breakfast is poorer than I am used to in hotels of this category, an hour before the end of breakfast there were only the remains of hot food and it was not replenished, there was a window handle missing that could not be opened and aired out the room

We had a very large and comfortable room for three people on the top floor of the hotel. Unfortunately our air conditioning wasn’t working in the room. We called reception but the service man had gone home for the night and the hotel was fully booked so we couldn’t change rooms. The lovely receptionist Maria did her best to make us comfortable by bringing two fans to our room and the next day gave us a generous discount off our bill. Whilst we had a hot night Maria was amazing and did her best to look after us !!!

In the center of žilina (10 min from the train station), this hotel has a great location, great restaurant (try the Balkan spread or the fish with aspergus 🤤). The staff was very helpful since my arrival to the end of my stay. The rooms are relatively small and a bit old (furniture wise), but everything else was great.

On paper the place is interesting: a villa, on the edge of a park, almost in the city center, wellness facilities, which I did not have time to try. The problem is that the establishment was privatized, or almost, for a family celebration, with many children, a monopolized and closed restaurant, and of course the music and dancing until late at night. After one night, I actually didn't want to honor the second, and I left, after eating breakfast. The room is air conditioned, fortunately it covered the noise, but quite small; there is no safe, no mini bar, just a refrigerator, no slippers to go with the bathroom, and very few power outlets to ensure most of our current habits. The internet is excellent, however, and parking is free. It seems that the restaurant is good, but the breakfast is just average, even mediocre, in terms of variety and quality. I got a discount without having to ask, about 12%.
