Bus G3 goes from the high speed train station to the hotel and bus 65 goes from the same bus stop to Shenhai Well and the Dinosaur museum. The lovely botanic gardens are only a bus ride away and you can walk through a tunnel and across the bridge to the older part of the city and the Salt museum, or you could just get a bus. The hotel is on a busy road but the hotel was surprisingly quiet.

A huge contrast in my experience over the two nights. I arrived at 9:30pm and went to my room to find chaos on the corridor; other guests with no conscience or respect for others who think it is good to have groups of people in one room with the doors open between their adjoining rooms and televisions blaring and children running and screaming in the corridor with parents shouting after them, which continued until after 11:30pm. The breakfast was also exceptionally busy and noisy. However when I returned to the hotel later in the day the majority of people had gone and the hotel took on a completely different feel. It's rural location and large landscaped grounds helped to give it the serenity of which it was deserving. The staff worked incredibly hard to clean all of the rooms and yet still had time to bring small gifts to my room which I found when I returned. The breakfast buffet had a great selection and the room was large and comfortable with a nice view of greenery. Great location for the dinosaurs and also easy to obtain a Didi to get to the centre of Zigong. . Also walking distance to the Qinglong Reservoir which has a 13 mile circuit for cycling and annual half marathon running race.

When I checked in at 1230 noon, my room was not available because I arrived too early. The front desk took the initiative to upgrade me to a suite.
