DDoExcellent stopover in Zhangye Danxia if you want to visit Zhangye Danxia scenic spot. Highly recommend staying in yurt, clean, spacious and comfortable. The owner was super helpful and even offered to bring us to and pick us up the scenic spot entrance. I will stay again.

GGuest UserYou can see the Qilian Mountains from your room! There are hot drinks in the lobby, boiled rock sugar snow pear, red dates and wolfberries, as well as melon seeds and peanuts! The room was big and comfortable. We also provided a midnight snack at around 8 or 9 in the evening - rock sugar and white fungus soup, which was super delicious! We were waiting for the train with our children, and the manager arranged a late check-out for us, so we were able to rest in the room for two more hours. It was so heartwarming, thank you very much! It's only half an hour's drive from Qicai Danxia, the location is very convenient, there are also good hotels around, which are within walking distance. In short, this hotel is amazing👍🏻

NNikoas4This hotel is perfect for foreigners since it is close to Dafo temple and the reception can book you chartered tours to Mati Si, Rainbow mountains (è pieno di dive slay kunt kunt che si fanno le foto x redbook quindi vestitevi bene per non sfigurare) and Pingshan Grand Canyon, which is extremely useful since there is little to no public transportation to these places. For some of this attractions you can also get a discount on the ticket if you book with them (but you might not be able to use other discounts like the one for college students). The hotel can be challenging to locate since it's on the second floor of a building, look up for the ”wolf tours” sign. The room are spacious enough but a little bit dusty and the shower doesn't have walls. The location of the hotel was also very convenient. The disposable supplies in the room were also very good. Recommended to all friends! The hotel has a particularly good location, the rooms are spacious and clean, the decoration is very warm, the furniture and bathroom sanitary ware are great, clean and sanitary, and safe to use. LLiuhaifeiAs always I'll rate the hotel I stayed at relative to the cost incurred. So is it value for money?
Location : The location could not be bettered. It is the closest hotel to the Mati Grottoes. Maybe a 500m walk away.
Service : Very good, very friendly ! Welcoming and efficient on arrival. Took food orders for delivery at lunch and dinner (which helped a lot as in Winter all the restaurants in the village were closed)! And also helped me buy snacks in the afternoon (as the usual stores in the village were closed during Winter).
Bedroom : Basic however with 2 beds (comfortable and clean) and a I really liked the sunny alcove with two seats and a table, to sit and drink tea/coffee (bring your own!).
Bathroom : small but most importantly hot water and plenty of it ! The toilet is Western style not a squat (phew - good for my old knees!)
Breakfast : was provided but as I don't often eat breakfast I can't comment further.
You shouldn't expect a 5 star hotel, it's a basic Chinese hotel so don't get expectations up, however it is great value for money, clean and has everything you'd need for a short stay. I would definitely stay here again !

GGuest UserJust completed a wonderful three night stay at the Zhangye Holiday Inn. Perhaps most Silk Road tourists do not spend three nights in Zhangye but we wanted to visit both the popular and more “off the beaten path” historical sites nearby. This Holiday Inn is up to international standards - the staff was very professional, courteous and well trained, the rooms were modern and well-maintained, and even the buffet breakfast restaurant manager spoke English. This is probably one of the few (if not the only) more Westernized hotels in Zhangye) and we had a very good stay and experience in this hotel in Zhangye.
