During the Qingming Festival, I went out for an outing and stayed at Jiyang Lake Hotel. I spent a wonderful and pleasant three days and two nights! The hotel's facilities are impeccable. The lake view room is spacious and bright, and the green waves of Jiyang Lake are in full view; the bedding is clean and comfortable, and it is very quiet to fall asleep at night. Occasionally, there are a few frogs croaking, which adds a bit of tranquility and interest; the breakfast is rich in variety, with all the dishes, snacks and drinks you can think of, and they are really delicious. After breakfast, I like to take a cup of coffee to the restaurant's outdoor dining chair and sit for a while. The warm spring sun and spring breeze are blowing on my face, and Jiyang Lake is set against the hotel's green plants and clean roads. It's very comfortable! The hotel's service is even more commendable. Whether it is the front desk reception or the lobby manager, or the restaurant service and room service staff, they are all smiling and answering questions, which makes people feel very cordial! The breakfast is so-so, but the room is nice and clean. The shower head in the bathtub is always leaking. The service attitude is also very good and parking is very convenient.

Very clean and well kept hotel. Breakfast is a buffet with amsixng food. The shower has an amazing rainfall shower head.

The room is large, but since it is an old hotel, the bathroom is small and smells a bit. Breakfast is a specialty of Jinling. It is very rich. The noodle stalls include fried fish and braised meat, and the cold dishes include beef and jellyfish. Although it is the Spring Festival, since Zhangjiagang is not a popular city, the hotel does not increase the price. There is welcome fruit every day, 2 bottles of drinks in the small refrigerator are free, and 2 bottles of homemade yogurt are given as a gift on the day of check-out. The service attitude is very good and the hotel is very cost-effective. It should be noted that the height limit of underground garages is 1.6.

Zhonglian GDH Hotel - finally back after 4 years. 8 nights in room 1718 ”Deluxe Queen”, at the back. Reasonably quiet this time, probably due to the lack of traffic and fewer guests - meaning less banging doors. Very dark. Bed was actually a king size and wasn't too firm. I slept well most nights. International power points with USB ports. Adjustable and very cold aircon had no trouble in the 36C heat. Good water pressure with rain and hand showers. No bath. Some marks on the carpet and chair upholstery. Good buffet breakfast with eggs to order. Chinese bacon. Baked beans some mornings. Lots of sweet options and pastries and several types of fresh fruits such as watermelon, dragonfruit and pineapple. Automatic coffee machine coffee that was almost drinkable on a couple of mornings but mostly bad. I really enjoyed the room service shrimp fried rice on several nights and there is a new McDonald's and KFC close by. Almost no english tv channels. No smart tv. I have stayed here many times over the last decade but this time the GDH was very quiet with me being the only westerner that I saw in the hotel on most days. Not sure if the new Marriott has caused this. Lovely help from the customer service managers- even helping me order online food since I don't read Chinese and everything is now done by an app. Limited internet access in Jiangsu that blocked my Gmail, even though I could download it in Zhejiang. One day my webmail was also totally blocked but mysteriously became accessible again the next.

A good hotel for a business trip to Zhangjigang. The breakfast has a good standard. Fresh fruits, Chinese noodles, eggs to customers choice and many more is offered. A small gym let you train a bit (could be bigger!). The restaurant is opened till 10:30pm and provides some tasty snacks when the work day lasts a bit longer and the nearby restaurants in the shopping mall are already closed. The Starbucks in the mall opens at 06:30 and is just a 7 minutes walk away.

The facilities are complete, clean, quiet and comfortable. It is the best choice to understand Zhangjiagang and fall in love with Zhangjiagang. The breakfast is also very rich. I will choose to stay next time!

The hotel environment is clean, refreshing and very good. The surrounding transportation is convenient and there is a large parking lot. The free breakfast was given, but the portion was a bit small and I didn’t feel full. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The room was clean and tidy, and there were small decorations on the bed that matched the season, which made people feel the attentiveness of the hotel staff. There are also many restaurants open until night in the surrounding area, so you don’t have to worry about having nothing to eat if you arrive late.

I thought it was cloudy, but when I got there, the sun was shining, the breeze was not dry, the pool water was sparkling and took away the summer heat, the sunset on the roof, the rice seedlings outside the building were not noisy, and the sound of KTV at night also occupied the emo time on weekdays. At 0:00, the first day of my birth, I saw the blooming of cactus flowers. The thorns of the cactus are short and sharp, and the flowers are indeed flourishing. This flourishing made me appreciate this encounter, the shades fell on the paper, and the ink smudged the midsummer. The store sister is super nice. Knowing that it is my birthday, she sent a birthday cake and a small cake. It was really fun to play table football, billiards and VR. We sang in KTV until 12 o'clock. The sister's husband was also very responsible for us until 12 o'clock. He was also very worried about our meals and helped us get takeout. The sister's daughter is also super cute. I will definitely come again next time.
