Excellent! 2 nights stayed in hotel parnass. We have booked a room with Matterhorn view .. unfortunately , not able to see it due to the bad weather snow fall persists.

Very helpful and polite staff. Neat and tidy restaurant. Could be even better if a fridge can be provided.

My recent stay at Hotel Parnass in Zermatt was nothing short of delightful. From the moment I arrived, the staff at the reception set the tone with her exceptional friendliness and patience, making me feel instantly at home. I had a similar experience with the staff on the night shift. The hotel’s location is a standout feature. It’s just a 3-minute walk to the supermarket and a 5-minute stroll to the main street, where you’ll find a variety of shops and restaurants. For nature enthusiasts, the iconic Matterhorn viewpoint is a mere 20-minute walk (and climb) away. The room was a cozy haven, perfectly insulated from the cold without ever feeling stuffy. I especially appreciated the heated shower rack, which kept my towel warm – a small but thoughtful touch. However, the bathroom is on the smaller side, which might be a tight fit for taller individuals. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. While simple, the variety offered made it feel sumptuous. The yoghurt stood out, and the availability of fresh fruits added a refreshing touch. Being an older establishment, you might notice the occasional sound of water running through the pipes or the mechanical hum of the lift – a minor trade-off for the hotel’s character and charm. Despite these quirks, Hotel Parnass has won me over. It’s an easy choice for a return visit to Zermatt, offering a warm, well-located, and comfortable stay.

Good service and value for money

It's easy to access from all stations in Chermatt, and the roads are simple. It's along the river, so if you get lost while walking around town, just follow the river and you'll find your way there. The room had a beautiful, unobstructed view of the Matterhorn. It was amazing to see the mountain reddened by the morning sun as I woke up from my room. The breakfast was simple, but the service was good, with the waitress offering hot tea and coffee. The bread was delicious. There was a shared lounge in the room behind the front desk, and it had board games, books, and a coffee machine. It was open 24 hours a day.

The hotel is about 500 meters away from the train station, which is quite close. It is a traditional log cabin style, clean and sanitary. The breakfast is good, the eggs are tender, the croissants are crispy and delicious! There is an older uncle serving breakfast, wearing a suit like a butler. He will provide us with coffee and hot milk. The best thing is of course that you can see the Matterhorn. I was eating in the restaurant and I looked up and saw the golden Matterhorn

The hotel's service, scenery and breakfast are all very good. It's a 5-minute walk from the train station, which is quite convenient. The only small drawback is that the facilities are not that new. I stayed for two nights, but unfortunately the weather was not good at the Matterhorn, which was a pity.

It was nice to be able to see the Matterhorn from the window. Thanks to that, I was able to see the Matterhorn shining in the morning sun. The towels were freshly washed and felt rough to the touch.

This hotel in Zermatt is absolutely unforgettable! The terrace room overlooks the Matterhorn, and the view is spectacular. Take beautiful photos easily without being distracted by crowds. You can even see black-faced sheep nearby, adding to the unique rural feel. This is definitely a great place to relax and enjoy nature!
