Monte Rosa Boutique Hotel

This is a great little hotel in Zermatt. Rooms are large The location is amazing just five minutes from the train station. But the best part about the place is the staff. I have traveled all over the world and I have to say the staff at the Monte Rosa are the best most helpful most pleasant group of people I have ever encountered at a hotel. When we asked about going up to the Gornogot, the first thing the front desk did was show us a video of the weather and let us know what to expect for the day. They had umbrellas when it was raining. They offered us a shuttle to the train station on our way back to Täsch and I cannot say enough about every single member who all had the same incredibly cheerful, friendly attitude. Seriously I’d like to find whatever medication they are taking because they were truly amazing. This is a great little hotel to stay at when you’re visiting Zermatt. It is not a five star luxury resort but when you’re here you’re not going be sitting in your room or staying in the hotel. you’re going to be walking around the town visiting the Matterhorn so there’s not a lot of extras in the hotel even though there is a great Swiss resturant at the hotel and a spa across the street we did not use. Only negative was the beds were a little hard and difficult to sleep on but after hiking and walking around for a whole day, we were able to get a good nights sleep. The best way I can describe it is if I ever come back to Zermatt, I will look to stay here. The breakfast is fine., It is your basic Swiss breakfast, but obviously you can order extras if you want.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in Zermatt for two nights and our only regret is that we did not have more time in this wonderful town at this charming hotel. The rooms are clean and lovely with a turndown service offered. The front desk staff was helpful, friendly, and helped us to feel welcome and offered suggestions of restaurants in town. The breakfast area had plenty of options to choose from and the food was done well. There is no pool or spa facilities on site, but they are close by at a sister hotel in town. One of the little details my wife loved are the small elderflower candies available at the front desk. She mentioned to the staff that she loved them, so later that evening there were two elderflower candies on our pillows at the turndown service. This demonstrates to us that the staff cares about making your stay memorable and the thoughtful attention to detail they provide. 10 out of 10 for this hotel!

Amazing hotel, great location and fantastic service. Breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Wonderful hotel in a great location with a long and interesting history. Highly recommended. Also special mention to Giorgios who helped us at check in. He couldn’t have been more welcoming and attentive.
