The check-in day was the weekend before Halloween, and there were many people. We checked in late, and the hotel actually changed the king-size room we had booked in advance into a double room. The reason given was that there were no king-size rooms. There was no integrity at all. The solution given by the front desk was to help us put the double beds together into one bed, and let us sit downstairs and wait for 1 hour before they cleaned up a room. First time in this chain will definitely look to book again in this location and elsewhere. Room facilities and layout great very relaxing. Only issue was a faulty hairdryer which I reported to reception & they apologised. Good location in York for train travellers 5 minutes from the station . Centrally located for key sites. Breakfast was well worth it individually ordered & cooked worth it. Lovely views from the room river wall and minster

Very good location if you are taking train. It was very convenient to find restaurants, convenient stores just around the hotel. The important landmarks, places of interest, walking streets, shopping and eateries are just around 500m away.
Spacious room for couple.
We liked the very modern interior, tea & coffer, cookies provided daily.
