The family room is so small that you can hardly turn around. The breakfast standard is low, and the ingredients can be clearly felt to be customized on holiday. There is no elevator, which is inconvenient to carry large luggage. The hotel has poor sound insulation, is too remote, and is surrounded by wilderness, which is inconvenient even if you drive. It is not worth more than 1,000 per night.

We got a great rate for our room of just under £50. This included breakfast (cooked and continental) for both of us. Staff were really friendly and helpful.
The only thing that let this trip down was our bathroom. The grout on the floor tiles by the toilet was grim. Also we found a child’s sock under the bed which doesn’t say much for the cleaning routine.
Would stay there again as appreciate this could be easily rectified with a deep clean.

The staff very welcoming and helpful and the breakfast was top notch especially had decent sleep, would definitely recommend anyone to stay at the Holiday Inn especially I went to watch York City FC play and literally 3 minute drive away to the stadium with lots of popular shops

Very pleasant staff on check in.
Parking free and could spill into Toby Carvery car park next door with no fear of being stung for parking charges.
Room had everything we needed and was accessible - hairdryer attached to mirror.
Places to hang towels on walls. Plenty of hanging space. Spacious shower and Dove toiletries.
Comfy beds.
Excellent breakfast.
Staff were brilliant. Dealt with spillages efficiently and with a smile and tables were cleared promptly.
Only negative was decor was perhaps a little tired.
Perhaps a key card entry to access bedrooms although reception was 24 hour.
Would recommend 👍
