The parking situation is un clear .Visited 35 plus years ago did not see any signage that specified sign in on arrival .Upon entry greeted by manager next to reception which was unmanned no indication from him as to sign in procedure. Ordered at bar and conversation with barmaid who had been there 43 years again manager standing next tome. Again no indication from him re sign in procedure. NICE when three weeks later you're slapped with £100 fine reduced to£60 paid within time frame.Would've been professional if manager and said barmaid had made clear to me and my colleague that there was a procedure to follow.Well there you go after having run my own buissines for 32years it appears big buissines doesn't give a joht about customer retention.Well done Inn group having supported you years in the lakes northallerton,Harrogate plus many more I have run of patience at 79 years of age I hope I get a reply because like many people who have supported you over your meteoric rise to the ,we deserve one.I know my grammar is nor brilliant but I hope I have got my point across. Yours Sincerely JOHN TODD

Like a lot of other reviewers I was caught out by the draconian parking charge of £60. When ordering my coffees at the bar I checked with the staff member that I was okay to park in the car park and I seem to remember providing them with my registration number. HOWEVER they did not remind me that I only had 2 hours to park and had to pay if I wanted to stay longer. For the life of me I did not expect that a pub would have such an ******* and unfriendly policy. I will certainly never return to the Kings Head ever again, AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

I have had lunch there each week for the past 3 weeks. Got a parking charge £100 even though I entered my details correctly at the bar. The machine does not give out anything to confirm it so I have no way of proving it. I have my card statement for over £50 for the meal. Maybe get more charges for the other visits. No way of speaking to anyone by phone. I will not be going there again.

Stayed and ate here as part of family walking holiday. Stayed at about eight places across holiday. Here was not the bright spot. Had handled booking incorrectly and rooms were OK but not as booked (double not twin room). Evening meal was great but breakfast service was very slow which didn't work when we wanted to get underway. Stayed at other Inn Collection places and this was not as good.

We had a comfy family room with large bathroom. Floor fans were provided in the unusual hot weather. The pub dinner was very tasty and a good menu choice. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly over the 2 days.

Nice pub for a drink after walking but BEWARE PARKING CHARGES. We spent 30 minutes at the pub for a quick drink after walking round Roseberry Topping. Two couple of weeks later I receive a parking charge of £100 in the post!! Totally unexpected, no prompt from the bar staff on arrival to register my car at the bar for 2 free hours parking, obviously missed the signage?!????!!! Absolutely disgusted, most expensive 2 halves we've ever had. Come on mangement and staff at The Kings Head Inn surely it should be in your remit to ask people when they arrive if they have registered their vehicle?! Looking at the reviews it's really the only MASSIVE complaint anyone has about the place. Get your fingers out and sort it out!

Having a parking charge of £60 in the post arrive afew days after a visit was a unexpected surprise but having sent evidence I thought this would be cancelled 6 weeks on I have now received a charge of £170 believe me there are many places to stay or eat superior to this without the crazy parking nonsense!

Stayed for one night on the 16/06/25. Quick check in,nice friendly staff . The room was clean and well equipped. Had an evening which was very good and an amazing breakfast the following morning, which we both said was the best we'd had in a long time! Will definately return .
