The walk from Yonago Station was longer than expected, and it was raining heavily, making me regret not taking a taxi. At the hotel entrance, I shook off the rain from my jacket and suitcase and headed to reception to check in. I was hoping they would offer me a dry towel or say hello, but they just greeted me with a smile, as per the manual... It was a slightly disappointing first contact. The room was spacious and comfortable, but the windows were closed and could not be ventilated. There were few power outlets around the desk. The breakfast had a good balance of Japanese and Western dishes, and I was impressed with the variety of Western food, as expected from IHG.
