We were joined last Saturday evening by a group of friends to see the Frank Sinatra tribute night. We've been a few times before, and the food has always been impeccable. But sadly, not on this occasion, two of our group had the corn dogs to start, and to be honest, they were of poor quality and more like a main course, it was like a large canoe sat on the plate, too much for a starter. The other food disaster was the Jambalaya, I really don't know where to begin with this awful dish that was overcooked and supposedly should have come with prawns and chorizo, I didn't have a single prawn and the chorizo made a very brief appearance in the form of two small pieces, the whole thing was an overcooked stodgy mess and not worth the money that we paid. It was absolutely shocking! On a lighter note, the music was fantastic, I hope they didn't give the poor chap a plateful of Jambalaya after he had finished. Lanes, the paying public deserves better!

Another outstanding meal at Lanes for a special birthday. Everything was delicious and the Roast beef melted in the mouth. Despite having a power cut the staff remained calm, professional and very friendly as always. Once power came back the food was served promptly and piping hot.

Never been here before, We were given a voucher as a wedding gift and decided to go out for food for valentines evening, On arrival the staff were exceptional, warm and welcoming. We were shown to our table and from start to finish the staff were great, Having chosen the valentines menu, it was definitley worth it, The food came out quite quick and it was all so very delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening there and would go back. Thank you to all staff on shift 👌 I would highly recommend A⭐️

We haven't eaten at Lanes for at least 6 months so we were delighted to find that our meal and service was once again, spot on. The cod fillet with veg and a sauce/ bisque was SO good. Sticky toffee pudding finished off a perfect lunch. Thanks again, we won't leave it so long.

Very noisy hotel!
First, this isn't a spa hotel. The 'spa' area was closed, but even if open, it's tiny and definitely not comparable with a proper spa hotel.
What the hotel does do is host big events, and they are noisy. We couldn't stay in our room as it was directly above the disco and although the staff did find us another room, it was tiny - no bath, no fridge, no view (barely a window). It was quiet thankfully, but it was not worth the cost and wasn't at all what we paid for.

Fantastic hotel highly recommended
Booked a dinner, bed and breakfast deal as an anniversary treat and we weren’t disappointed! Lovely room overlooking the gardens, spotlessly clean. Fantastic small touches like a stocked mini fridge, peanuts and great tea tray with a wide range of hot drinks. All complimentary. Super soft bath robes an added bonus. Food was outstanding. The staff could not do enough for you, Shaun the manager very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful as were the rest of the staff. Had a lovely relaxing break, would definitely stay again

Excellent stay, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was wonderful, hot selection freshly cooked to order. Good continental selection.
Room was quite new and spotless. Had a fridge with water and pepsi, also some nuts and biscuits included. Lovely village location.
