The hotel room is small and the fixtures , windows & furniture are old fashioned. Nevertheless they look clean and usable. The table fan was very cute The WiFi is intermittent and very slow. Ample car park and everything is accessible.

We recently got married at The Manor Hotel in Yeovil and we could not have been happier with the wonderful day we had. Katie and her team were so fantastic and nothing was too much. Every detail was thought of and we had such a wonderful day! We would suggest this venue to anyone looking to have a relaxed and beautiful day for a reasonable price. The food was immaculate.

The Sunday roast lunch is excellent but what sets this restaurant apart is the staff will readily go the extra mile to accommodate tweaks to the menu for special preferences, and really look after their regular clients. My 92 year old father in law, along with his girlfriend and another elderly couple dine there every Sunday. Recently he celebrated his birthday there, and I called the hotel to see if we could arrange a surprise birthday cake and pay for it over the phone as we live abroad. They readily agreed but absolutely refused to let us pay for it, as he is one of their regulars, and not only did they provide a cake but gave him a card too. What a lovely gesture. Highly recommended.

Public areas and staff pleasant. Bedrooms dark, nosiy and dingy. Tried to open bedroom window but it fell down again - sash cord snapped and paint flaking off. Light from corridor (and noise) streaming under door at night, it didn't fit the frame. Hotel needs gutting and rooms remodelling. Best avoided.

Stayed 2 nights whilst visiting friends. Positives: Great staff, comfy bed, clean, free parking, nice bar - we didn't eat there so can't comment on food. Ironing board and iron plus a fan and tea and coffee were provided. Negatives: Very tired room which had 2 windows. One didn't stay open and the other would only open about 3 inches. Bathroom was old, shower door didn't fit properly so didn't fully close. Instructions were displayed on how to use the shower due to the drainage problem - important to read this otherwise the bathroom would flood. We appreciate that this is an old building but generally the hotel is in need of maintenance including plumbing and painting as the bedroom doors on the landing look very neglected.

Stayed on Thursday & Friday, 26-27/06/25 with my adult son. Check-in was easy, And the receptionist was friendly and clear in terms of the details of where we would be staying, which was the separate converted stable block at the rear. Parking was free for residents. The room in the stable block was a twin and clean, if a little dated. The 3 plug sockets were all located on the wall opposite the beds, which was a pain. The window security was a block of wood to stop the window from being slid open. Breakfast was a mix of continental and hot items that you ordered. I've never had fresher/warm Danish pastries for breakfast anywhere. Happy to stay again.

We didn't stay, however had my parents 65th Wedding Anniversary. Caroline helped and support us all the way through, she was amazing. Thanks Caroline. Function room was the Ash down, I believe. Chairs really comfortable and looked brand new. From the beginning to the end Caroline and team were absolutely wonderful. Couldn't do enough for us, always checking in to make sure we were all okay, very respectful the whole team. Willing to talk and make conversation and also willing to stay in the background. As for the food, everyone said it was hot tasty and there was enough of it. To get out 40 dishes all still piping hot, if you know anything about catering, that isn't easily. Quality and presentation was great on every meal that went out. I will be back again for any celebration, perhaps I might decide to go bed and breakfast on top. Mum and dad had a fantastic day topped off by the piper, who played the songs at their wedding. There 70th anniversary we will be requiring a Karaoke machine, smoke and strobe lighting. Thanks again everyone for your help and support.
