no bottled water, no slippers, other than that is good. guess its a industry standard now.

The Hotel is located at convenient location. Restaurants, banks, supermarket...etc are all within walking distance. The front desk staffs and the restaurant servers were very nice, friendly and helpful. Just recommended the Explorer to a couple who are planning to visit Yellowknife next year.

Location very strategic. Near downtown. But lack of ameneties, they dont provide tooth brush. Receptionist very helpful.

It was an enjoyable stay

Free shuttle to and from airport. Facilities are ok. Great view of Frame Lake.

The room is big enough, but the bathroom is small. It is said to be one of the two best four-star hotels in the area, but it is only three-star standard. However, there are kettles, microwaves, refrigerators, and coffee machines in the room, but the capsule coffee is not available after staying for several nights.

I booked this hotel because it was said to be the best in Yellowknife. The hotel is on a hill, so it's a bit of a hassle to have to go down a hill to go to the supermarket. The bathtub was dirty and didn't seem to be cleaned. The bed was comfortable. We could see a little bit of the aurora from the room.

Great location, but the mattress is too soft

The sanitary environment is good. It may be the best hotel in Yellowknife. Opposite is the Great Slave Lake. The scenery is different in the morning, noon and night. There is a free airport bus that you can take. The distance is about five or six kilometers.

There were a lot of dead bugs on the window frame, and the charger dangled when plugged in and didn't stay in place, so it wasn't very good. The accommodation wasn't that clean and didn't feel very nice.

It is said to be one of the better hotels in the area. Its facilities are equivalent to those of our three-star hotels. There are many places to rest in the lobby and the overall service is good.

Generally speaking, it was average. When I checked out the room, I found that there was a problem with the electrical system of the TV and the desk lamp was broken. However, after the engineering staff repaired it, there were no problems. After the first day of housekeeping, I forgot to give towels and coffee, so I called the housekeeping department and sent them back.

The Explorer Hotel was a great hotel with a great location and a charming lake view outside the window. The friendly staff greeted us and the lobby was nice. It was clean overall, but I wondered if the old floors were being cleaned. The restaurant on the first floor had a good atmosphere, but it was too expensive and not that delicious.
