Absolute gem of a palace in a peaceful location. Staff were so friendly and the food was amazing! The rooms are starting to become a little tired and good do with a spruce up. Other than would highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel with lots of attention to details. The rooms are very clean and the location is perfect. Includes a nice restaurant and bar. The staff is super friendly and helpful and perfectly speaks english. We will definitely come back.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights in total and we found it a great gateway from the others spots in the area which are way too touristy. Giggling tree might not have the best views from to room but you would be certainly satisfied with the cost and friendly atmosphere of the whole place. Me and my friends found it very relaxing and would recommend it again to anyone who wants to stay in Yangshuo.

We enjoyed our stay at the Giggling Tree Hotel very much. The place is well kept, beautifully designed, with earth colours and lots of plants. The rooms were fantastic, again nice design. The hotel has a cosy yard that keeps the Yangshuo craze at bay. We stayed there as a family with two kids. They loved the pool. The hotel rents out bikes and the bike lane along the Yulong River starts just across the street. The staff were super friendly and helped us with working out our travel itinerary. Thanks a lot!

This is a fantastic countryside boutique hotel. Set in an old barn, it preserves its historic charm while maintaining modern comfort. Staff are friendly and very attentive. The location is close to the river path for cycling or moped. Great base to explore Yangshuo. The kitchen serves great food. Don’t forget to do the dumpling making course! Our children loved the resident rabbits!

Yangshuo gegeshu hotel (or the giggling tree), was a perfect place. We had an amazing time in the beautiful hotel, which was an old farm. The staff was wonderful and helped us a lot with things to do in the area. The food you could have in de courtyard was amazing. We would definitely come back here!

wonderful converted old barn with swimming pool,taiji, bike hire and great location near the yulong river. always a great base to relax

The hotel was located in an ideal place to visit many of the tourist locations. The room was fine for my purpose and the shower was great. - a large walk in shower. It was a real bonus to have a swimming pool on the site and all the staff were very friendly

It’s hard to describe how amazing our stay at the giggling tree was. The staff is the best and very helpful, the hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the restaurant serves good food. A must stay when you are planning to visit the area! Amazing place with kindest people! Absolutely loved Yangshuo and mainly because of people and how small and convenient the place is! Definitely will be back ❤️ Rooms are great, food and coffee are nice! Tried the noodles for breakfast 🙌🏼

I liked the hotel building and the interior so much that I regretted making a reservation only for one night. When I stayed there, I understood why Westerners prefer this hotel. All the staff were kind, the food was delicious, and the menu was diverse. If I ever come back to Yangsu-oh, I would definitely like to stay. And personally, I would like to thank Alice (?) who was a fluent English employee who helped me give first aid when my husband fell and got injured.
