3-Star Hotels in Yangon

HOTEL BALMI, After staying with 4 of my family in the HOTEL BALMI for 20 days, my experience in this hotel will not disappear in my life time memories. The rooms are huge, high security for the family, spotless clean, high tech light switch, amazing temperature control (even water for shower), very convenient to access to China Town and with fantastic house keeping team. My favourite activity was having a drink & delicious foods and looking the stunning sun set river view from roof top restaurant that is smashing. On the roof top restaurant, Opposite of the river view, I can even see the Shwe Dagon Pagoda (the greatest landmark of Myanmar), WHAT A GOOD LOCATION IS. All the staff are well trained professional in their rows, very polite and willing to provide their relevant services to the guests at anytime even in the 2:00am. My favourite staff are Patrick (F&B Supervisor) Shine Ko Ko (F&B Captain) Zin Ko Khant (F&B Service) Tin Win Aung (Bartender) Thura Maung ( Operation Manager) Than Naing Lin (Bell Boy) Soe Aung (Night Security) Then, I celebrated my 43rd birthday party at the HOTEL BALMI roof top restaurant. All the decorations, live music, foods & drinks managed by restaurant manager Patrick & team. My birthday party was my best party I have ever had. All my family really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We strongly recommend to stay at HOTEL BALMI whatever the reason in Yangon, Myanmar.

I stayed there 19 nighs. There are some good points (mostly) and a few bad ones. Fistly the staff is very friendly and supportive. There can be no complaints about them. Secondly the management acted very responsible, when I was in a health danger situation. I am very thankful to them for that. The bad points: One Aircon was not working and I was told beyond repair. I waited for a word of excuse (or even compensation) by the General Manger Mr. Smith Tin Win Aye, but that never happened. Finally i asked 2 time for an appointment, only to hear that ”he is not free” ”he is busy”. Is that a proper way to behave by a GM ? I dont thinks so. Finally it must be mentioned that I could hear every word from the guests below my room. But total lack of sound isolation is common in Yangon.

The prices are reasonable compared to other hotels nearby. You will find the local restaurants around and can easily take a taxi. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Even for local, i feel like prices are worth it.

Very nice place. Location is great, really close to the night market... Staff is very friendly and helpful, especially the hotel manager. 😊 He gave us many tips for Yangons most interesting sites and all in all I definitely recommend this hotel, big value for your money.

Breakfast is very rich every day, and every day is different, this must be liked. The environment is relatively good. Relatively many hotels in the same category say that it is much quieter. The service was not even said, the hotel waiter even put my dirty clothes in a neat stack and put them away. Thank you here. The tip was originally reserved for the waiter, but was rejected. One more thing, breakfast can be delivered to the room, which is not available in similar hotels.

I live here every time I go to Yangon, the only drawback is that there are no windows, everything else is good.

I stayed for 4 nights. The downtown location makes it convenient for sightseeing and dining. Although Yangon experiences frequent power outages, the hotel has its own generator, so there are no inconveniences with air conditioning or refrigerators. The free buffet breakfast at the rooftop restaurant had a wide variety of options and overlooked Yangon city, which was very satisfying. I think the value for money is good for a hotel in this price range. This time I booked through Agoda, but it would be much cheaper to book directly on site. The exchange rate applied to international credit cards is the government-set rate of MMK2,100/US$, which makes it feel a bit expensive. At money changers downtown, you can exchange both JPY and US$ at the market rate, so it's a good deal.

It is still very safe in the sun. The hotel is located in Chinatown. The location is very good. It is very close to the attractions. Three people booked online. Other hotels need to book two rooms. It was originally written that there were two breakfasts, and the third person did not increase the price for breakfast. Although the breakfast is simple, it is also a feature of Myanmar. For Myanmar's economic conditions, his location is very good value for money. I will stay here next time.

Breakfast is very good, close to the airport, the room is relatively large, the refrigerator, TV, safe, bathtub are all complete, the Wi-Fi situation is average, other cost-effectiveness is good, and the service is very enthusiastic
