We are very impressed with the hotel service.The hotel makes travel convenient and smooth.There are pick-up and drop-off fromYudanaka Station to the hotel and drop-off at Monkey onsen.The hotel is in the good location,in the heart of Shibu Onsen, beutiful view of the mountian and river in front.The beer, white and red wine in the refrigerator in the room are free.The onsen is not very big but clean.Dinner and breakfast are fresh and delicious. Shibu Hotel is a very good hotel,worth staying.

I only stayed one night in this beautiful ryokan and in Yamanouchi but I could easily have stayed longer, as there seems to have trekking opportunities in the area. The ryokan itself is great on all levels: clean, quiet at night and has an authentic feel. The staff is very helpful and speaks fluent English. When you arrive, it will provide you with traditional Japanese clothing in which you'll wander by the streets, go to restaurants and most importantly, explore the 9 public and free onsen in the village. I slept in a 3 bed dormitory and hadn't slept so well for several days. A free shuttle service will bring you to the next bus station (perhaps train station as well)

This Ryokan is located in a traditional Onsen village, with a nice, peaceful & old quaint atmosphere. There are many ( think it's 9) public onsens in the area which guests can also use, besides the inhouse one. Room is typical ryokan with tatami bed & inroom bath. Place is very clean. Service is par excellence! Very warm & friendly staff ( few speak English) all round makes you feel welcome. Staff will set up your bed( tatami) while one have their dinner. Traditional set Breakfast & Dinner (included) are very good quality, very traditional & excellent . Great inhouse onsen. Hotel can pick/send guests from/to train station ( from 1.30pm onwards only) . Also one way to Monkey Park. Easy bus access on main road. Only negative thing is this Ryokan is located at the end of a long uphill walk along the onsen village ( tough dragging heavy luggages or even just walking back). We arrive around 11am, so they can't pick us from train station. Took a bus & walk up & waited. Thankfully the nice lady ( think she is the owner) came to open door earlier to put our luggages. But no big issue. Lots of shops were not opened but some opened later in evening. Great experience not to be missed.

Wonderful place to stay with such accomdating people. The room was super spacious and clean. Plus the views from the balcony were amazing. It was so nice to relax at the onsite onsen at the end of the day. I'm excited to come back when I'm in the area again. I would highly recommend it, a great price for an excellent stay! The owner even took a picture with us and sent a follow up email with it attached. Made it such a memorable experience.

My wife & I stayed here in March ‘24 for its close proximity to the Monkey Park. From start to finish the stay was impeccable; with no request they were at Yudanaka station waiting for our arrival to drive us to the Ryokan - They also provide a free shuttle to go to the Monkey park in the morning after breakfast. Whilst rooms are small & basic, this is exactly what you are booking to experience as it’s traditional, the local town is cute to walk around and discover also. The meals, simply incredible - if you want to experience truly traditional Japanese dining at both breakfast and dinner, you need to do so in a place like this. Every single member of staff was attentive, polite and very welcoming The private onsen was a lovely experience also and most welcome after a cold trek to see the Snow Monkeys Would highly recommend anyone to stay here

The hotel has arranged for vehicles to pick up and drop off at Tangtianzhong Station. Although the building is old, the service staff are very kind. The fly in the ointment is that the water in the Volkswagen Pool Hot Spring is too hot to go down. There is also the entrance of the hotel to the Hell Valley Wild Monkey Park, but the return journey needs to take the bus to the station near the hotel. The environment of the day, the wind and snow began to blow, and the hotel really experienced a lot of hardships.

在我入住前的數天，酒店已發電郵給我，為我提供JR車站接車的安排。酒店職員亦非常準時地在車站出現。 我參加了Ryuoo Ski Park的滑雪課程，並需要在課程前一天交費。酒店職員主動幫我跟那店聯繫，看看怎樣交費最為方便。 這酒店的員工總是為顧客著想，如果說你們有機會到這裡旅遊，實在值得選擇這酒店。 The hotel send me email few days before I check in. Mainly is to help for arrange transportation (using their shuttle) from JR workstation to the hotel. I've joined snowboard training in Ryuoo ski park. Hotel staff also helped me contacted training school for the details. This is really a great experience which I haven't had before. Highly recommend this hotel to you if you have chance to visit her.

We stayed for 1 nights on skiing. There were few guests because of the corona and weekdays, and the dinner was also a fixed meal. It is a meal that is suitable for the price, but the dinner that decides the meal time provides warm things. Curry is free to eat in the morning and evening. The taste is not bad, normal! It is more an inn than a hotel because it cleans the tableware by self. The overall structure is undeniable but the room we stayed in was clean. There is a refrigerator but there was no safe. So considering the valuables, the bath went alternately. Heating cannot be adjusted in the room. The room is warm and thin, and the heating is weakened when it is quiet at night, and it feels like putting it in the futon. Like any facility, the guests are now less lonely and dark. However, I think the cospa and location are good for those who want to Gungan ski. I thought it was a hotel that matched the price. It is easier for people who come by car to drive to the free parking lot of Ichinose Diamond Ski Resort than to go to Ichinose family from the front of the hotel, and you can get out of the slope as soon as you get off there.

It was disappointing from beginning to end. I chose this inn because I was busy with work and raising children and wanted some alone time. ○ Good points ○ There was a private sauna, hot spring, and cold bath, and the facilities were well-equipped. ○Bad Points○ ○I arrived at the inn around 3:10pm and I was the only customer, but I had to wait for a long time after being told to ”please wait”, and when I finally thought I was checking in, I was given the room key. , ``Please.'' My luggage was not carried, so I went to my room by myself. business hotel? Why did you have to wait? ○Before the 100-minute sauna reserved from 16:00, I was asked to take an oxygen capsule for 30 minutes from 15:30, and after the capsule was finished, I was asked to choose herbs for the sauna. What should I do after that? Even though I was waiting, they didn't come, and there was no one there, so I went to the sauna floor without permission, but it was already about 4:20 p.m. The time I was most looking forward to in the sauna was shortened, and the guidance was very unfriendly. ○Dinner was normal, no elaborate dishes. There was a sheet placed over the appetizer, and I thought they would take it away after we were seated, but they didn't do anything and took it off themselves.I also asked for sparkling wine, but the bottle was unopened. He put it down with a thud and walked away. Do you mean asking customers to remove the hard cork from sparkling wine? There were towels to wipe your hands, but no napkins to wipe your mouth. As well as the alcohol, the additional food seemed expensive. Two rice balls cost 800 yen, and pickled nozawana costs 1000 yen. Turnips came out in a steamed dish, but they were just tendrils and not edible. There was no explanation about the dish called salt-grilled rainbow trout with dashi soup, so I didn't know how to eat it. (There was no explanation of the dishes in general.) I asked for water with alcohol, but even though the glass was empty, it was just that. For the time being, it was a dinner that seemed to lack a lot of consideration. As a drink after breakfast, I asked for coffee, but I waited for a while after the meal, but it wasn't brought to me.When I returned to my room, they brought it to my room, but they said, ``It's late.'' I didn't say anything like, ``I'm sorry for the inconvenience,'' but instead, ``I had some coffee.'' (I know.) ○When I went home, it was raining quite a bit, and I didn't have an umbrella.The person who was seeing me off didn't say anything, so I got wet and walked to the parking lot. I felt bad till the end, and it ended. Everyone at the hotel had no smiles or hospitality. There is no energy at the inn. Perhaps because of the coronavirus, I felt that there were many things that were overlooked at this inn. I also reviewed it on Rakuten Travel, but the inn there deletes bad reviews, so I wrote a review here as well.
