Popular Xining 4-star Hotels

We are travelling through Gansu & Sichuan and I booked the Mercure as a couple of nights for my husbands birthday. The first room we got was OK, a little shabby and not the cleanest but a nice bed and sofa and the aircon seemed good. My husband took a shower for all of 30 seconds and the bathroom, corridor and toilet completely flooded. So we moved rooms. The next room didn't flood but the aircon was pretty feeble and the toilet cubicle smelled. We didn't complain, having already moved once. This room was an over all improvement. The breakfast was pretty miserable, no coffee and mostly Chinese dishes. I had expected more from a western brand but nevermind, we ordered coffee and food to the room. Plus points - The staff are very nice and friendly, they accommodated us on the new room and gave us some treats as an apology. The bus to Kumbum Monastery is directly across from the hotel and you can arrive there in 45 mins, public bus number 909, 4¥. Starts at 6:30am. The breakfast is OK. There is a free laundry room, we did lots of laundry and it dried over night. We stayed in a non smoking room and it really was non smoking which is rare for China. It smelt fresh and the bedding and towels did not smell of smoke. There were however people smoking everywhere else in the hotel which seems quite common expecially in this province. Overall, I would stay here again but I think the price is a little high for the offering in comparison to some Chinese brands in the city.

Many hotels have teamed up with Ctrip to deceive customers. I have encountered this many times. There are probably several tricks. First, Ctrip shows that the hotel has facilities and services but cannot provide them. For example, Sanwang does not have WiFi and laundry; second, Ctrip does not show many results when I search for hotels; third, hotel prices change every minute. , jointly raise prices, and fourthly, the service staff did not tell the truth and told lies with their eyes open.

Elton International Hotel, a truly phenomenal experience. After a long tedious journey, its always nice to enjoy a soft bed. Now the service, of two weve interacted with Lisa and David were both really enthusiastic, david helped with luggages and inquirys on covid measures, and lisa provided assitance in hotel service and food recommnedation in the beautiful city of 西宁. Great experience!

We arrived early from an overnight train and they checked us in upon arrival. Location is walking distance to train station with lots of food options nearby.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the unprofessional conduct of two male front desk staff members I encountered during my recent stay at this hotel. I approached the front desk to inquire about to extend my stay. The two staff members I interacted with were both rude and dismissive, speaking to me without making eye contact and answering in a very loud voice. Their behavior was unprofessional and made me feel unwelcome. I understand that front desk staff members are often busy, but there is no excuse for treating guests with disrespect. I would appreciate it if you would address this matter with the staff members in question and ensure that all your employees are trained to provide excellent customer service. I hope that my experience will be addressed and that future guests will not encounter the same issues.

I stayed here for night, having left the higher rated Wanda hotel due to a lack of AC and being unable to sleep all night. The room and bathroom exceeded my expectations for 4 stars and were very close to 5 star standard IMO. The staff allowed me to check the room(and most importantly, AC) before booking, which I appreciated. Breakfast was good. I would stay again if returning to Xining.

This is a proper 4 star hotel. The bed is very comfortable. The toiletries are pretty good, the towels are soft and neat. It even includes a bath tub and has a clothes iron. There is a comfortable sofa to lounge on. There is no AC, but Xining is usually cold a d you wouldn't need an AC. The location is great too. Its overlooking the river. The only issues are 1. The breakfast spread is very very limited 2. It's a very old hotel and smells like one If you are okay with the limited breakfast spread and the smell, then this is a great hotel for the price.

Family, my stay at Fairfield by Marriott this time was simply invincible, and I must give it a five-star rating! The hotel is in a great location, right in the city center, with shopping malls and food streets around, and everything is available. It is very convenient for travel and shopping. Whether you want to check in at popular attractions or find local specialties, you can get there by just raising your legs, and you don't have to worry about traffic problems at all. As soon as I entered the room, I was amazed. The space is spacious and bright, the decoration style is simple and elegant, and the details show quality. The bed is big and soft, and it feels like lying in the clouds. The bedding is also clean and soft, and it exudes a faint fragrance, which allows me to fall asleep every night. The facilities in the room are very complete. From the moment I checked in, I could feel the enthusiasm and professionalism of the hotel staff. The front desk was not only quick, but also very considerate to introduce me to the hotel's services and fun places around. During my stay, no matter what questions I had, as long as I made a phone call, the staff would respond quickly and help solve them as soon as possible, which made people feel very at ease. In short, the location, rooms and services of Fairfield Inn are impeccable. I will definitely choose this hotel again whether I am on a business trip or traveling in the future, and I strongly recommend it to everyone!

I brought my kids to Qinghai to visit relatives and chose this hotel. It was very good. I like heat so I chose a sunny room which was very comfortable. I could also see Nanshan Temple. It was very quiet. The hotel service was also very good. Seeing that we brought kids, they also introduced us to the wildlife park. I will bring my parents here if I have the chance.

From the guest rooms to the public areas, every place is cleaned up, without any dead corners. The air in the room is also very fresh, without any odor. The room cleaning and disinfection work ensures that the guests' accommodation environment is safe and hygienic. This high standard of hygiene makes me full of trust and goodwill for this hotel, and I will definitely choose here again on my next trip.
