The first hotel we stayed at during our weekend trip was so terrible that we immediately rebooked and chose Niaodao the same evening. The next morning, the guesthouse staff called me to confirm the booking. From the moment I booked until I checked out, the service was truly impeccable. The staff were all incredibly friendly and provided many helpful travel tips. The room was a sea-view room with a fantastic view of Gulangyu Island, and given its orientation, you could even catch the sunset. It was spacious, cozy, and very comfortable – truly satisfying. Its location is excellent, right at the intersection of Zhongshan Road and close to the ferry terminal, making it very convenient for taxis as well. The guesthouse has been around for a while, so there was some minor peeling paint on the walls. It wasn't very noticeable unless you looked closely, but a fresh coat of paint would definitely freshen it up. Being so close to the sea, the bedsheets felt a bit damp when we returned in the evening, but it was manageable with the air conditioning running constantly. In summer, there are quite a few insects, so some attention to pest control would be beneficial.

They even thoughtfully provided us with a local guide and highlighted some important tips for our stay. The room itself was beyond perfect – cozy yet elegantly furnished, spotlessly clean, with all amenities neatly arranged. The bed was wonderfully soft and comfortable, the duvet fluffy, and the pillows were just the right height. Even I, someone who usually struggles to sleep in new places, had a fantastic night's sleep. The bathroom featured a separate wet and dry area, hot water was instant, and the toiletries had a lovely fragrance, feeling very nourishing on the skin. Zhongshan Road is conveniently located right downstairs, making it incredibly easy for shopping, sightseeing, getting around, and dining. This entire stay was nothing short of perfect. I would absolutely choose this hotel again if I have the chance and wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!

We had an unforgettable time in Xiamen during the Dragon Boat Festival, made even better by our stay at the Fenghwei Lanxi Seaview Hotel for two nights. The hotel’s location was extremely convenient, with popular attractions like Gulangyu Island just a short distance away. The surrounding area offered fantastic restaurants and a stunning coastline, making our stay both enjoyable and hassle-free. Our room was cozy, clean, and surprisingly welcoming—despite its compact size, it had a warm, homely feel. The breathtaking view, incredibly comfortable bed, and the attentive cleaning staff all contributed to a truly satisfying experience. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Xiamen!

Yiju Hotel is beyond our expectations. The room was beautifully presented, and the staff there was polite and helpful. The afternoon tea on the rooftop was very memorable, and the staff took family photos for us. He sent them to us by WeChat and printed a few of them out. No effort was spared - on the envelope was a message in English as he realised my husband doesn't speak Chinese. Breakfast was again beautifully presented in the quaint courtyard. They helped us register to see the Baguo Building - we had no idea we have to pre-register. They helped bring our luggage down to town upon check out and gave us a lunch recommendation, which we thoroughly enjoyed. I am truly thankful for the level of service they have extended and I highly recommend this hotel!
