Great atmosphere, friendly service. I stayed in this hotel for a short trip. The reception lady was friendly, the bar in the lobby is beautiful and they had some singing performers there on Sunday evening, which felt really special and welcoming. The carpet and walls in the hallways need renovation and an AC in that area would be nice. My room was quite far away from the elevator, which was quite inconvenient. Unfortunately, the adults pool wasn’t “working” when I wanted to use it and the sauna was out of service as well. Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay.

I came to Xiamen Huandong this season, with sunshine and beaches. I like the quietness of Ruihai. The hotel room is spacious and comfortable, and you can see the blue-green sea. The room is cleaned every day, thank you to the cleaning staff; Every waiter I met in the corridor and at the gate will take the initiative to greet me. Although it should be done, not many people can really do it with sincerity. I answered my questions patiently and led the way. The hotel has an exclusive housekeeper Lili, who contacted and added WeChat early to facilitate my consultation; The second day of check-in was my husband's birthday, and the housekeeper Lili arranged to send a birthday cake, which was beautiful and delicious 😋. The restaurant Joy Club also sent birthday noodles at dinner; I went to the gym once, the facilities are very complete, the venue is great, and the atmosphere is good. During this trip to Xiamen, we stayed at three hotels, and my child absolutely loved The Portman the most. I would also highly recommend it. Here's why: Qixing Bay boasts a beautiful seascape with fewer crowds. You can probably catch both sunrise and sunset here (though we didn't specifically try). The hotel's direct access to the beach, just across the road, is incredibly convenient. At low tide, you can go beachcombing – there were plenty of hermit crabs, razor clams, and balloon-shaped ghost crabs. We caught some and then released them all. The coastal road alongside the beach is great for cycling, or you can rent an e-bike to enjoy the ocean views. In the evenings, you might even stumble upon some street vendors or activities. It's tranquil and scenic during the day, lively but not noisy at night – a stark contrast to the busy Huandao Road, which is constantly packed with people and traffic. As for the hotel itself, it's sprawling and stunning. Every corner offers a picturesque spot, perfect for taking photos. The rooms are generously sized with high ceilings, creating a very spacious feel. If you opt for a sea-view room, the ocean vista is expansive and unobstructed, unlike some hotels where 'sea view' means straining to glimpse a distant, hazy ocean. The hotel also boasts comprehensive facilities, including a swimming pool, a water park, and a kids' club – everything you need. It's absolutely perfect for a relaxing three or four-day 'staycation' with children. The staff members are generally friendly and professional. In particular, the pool attendants are very responsible and meticulous, strictly managing the area. They test and change the water daily, and the water quality was indeed much cleaner than at the state-owned hotel we stayed at previously. The hotel is conveniently located, about a 20-minute drive from Xiamen North Station and Jimei University Town. I heard there are several breakfast venues, but we only tried the French restaurant. The selection wasn't huge, but the quality was excellent. They also offered local specialties like Shacha noodles, peanut soup, and Mianxian paste – a 'quality over quantity' approach, I'd say. Plus, kids under 1.2 meters eat for free. The only minor drawback was that due to how busy the hotel was during our stay, there were some inevitable oversights in room cleaning. However, I personally found this understandable. As long as you don't have excessively strict hygiene requirements, it should be acceptable. After two nights, my child declared that they want to come to Xiamen again next time, specifically insisting on staying at The Portman.

The hotel facilities are fantastic, and the service is great. The bed was super comfortable. While there are many residential communities nearby, the commercial area isn't very lively, so dining options are a bit scarce. However, the hotel breakfast was also excellent.

In general: hotel accommodation (Yihai Town Back Garden Room), swimming pool, gym, restaurant food, disposable toothbrush (soft hair), disposable slippers (non-slip design on the bottom, soft and comfortable shoes), concierge car service, distance to go out to sea to catch crabs, etc., impeccable😁 Brother He at the entrance of the lobby of Xihai Hotel, thin and tall, is really super enthusiastic~ Help with luggage, open the car door, contact the concierge car, don’t talk much, but really easy-going, give him a thumbs up for the youth! Master Zhang of the concierge car is also very polite❤️ The hotel’s gym is on the second floor below Xihai, and the sisters at the front desk are super enthusiastic🤩I think this must not be a coincidence, it must be a good daily habit❤️When you come to Xiamen, you must recommend this hotel.

The experience was absolutely fantastic. A special shout-out to the hotel for the thoughtful wristband room keys for the kids; they were absolutely thrilled throughout our three-night stay. The spacious 1.45-meter twin beds were incredibly comfortable. The balcony was perfect for enjoying the view and convenient for drying clothes. Kids playing in the water also had plenty of shade, and the pool staying open until 10 PM was a huge bonus – the children had a blast and the water was spotless. The beach is just across the road, and directly outside the hotel is the lively Sunshine Town. In my opinion, the comfort and overall experience here definitely outshine Qixingwan.

This stay was very satisfying! The hotel is right next to Fantawild Park. After playing, you can walk directly back to the room, which saves time and effort. It is very friendly to families with children! The room is decorated in a childlike and warm way, clean and tidy, and the children especially like it. The breakfast is rich in variety and tastes good. The service staff is warm and thoughtful, and they answer all questions. The overall feeling is comfortable and convenient, and the cost performance is very high. It is a perfect accommodation choice for visiting Fantawild Park. I will stay here again next time I come to play! Highly recommended!

[Super considerate parent-child experience] Bring a 4-year-old baby to stay in Xiamen Shengzhixiang, and you will be impressed by the details from the beginning! The front desk lady took the initiative to upgrade the superior twin room to a deluxe twin room (1.8m+1.5m combination bed type), and the housing department also installed the bed guard in advance, which is super safe to bring the baby to sleep~ The room is equipped with tea sets, bathrobes, and disinfected slippers. More considerately prepared cartoon bathrobes and toothbrushes for children, and the welcome fruit plate also made us feel at home instantly. The guest room is cleaned every day, and even the toys that the baby messed up will be helped to be sorted out. The hotel's children's paddling pool is kept at a constant temperature all day, and different temperatures of hot springs are set up indoors and outdoors. It is super comfortable to play in the open-air pool and watch the clouds on sunny days, and soak in the warm hot springs indoors on rainy days! The ground in the children's play area is so clean that you don't have to worry about running barefoot, and the children don't want to come out at all! The hot spring area is very private, the pool water is clear, and the whole family is super relaxed. The surprise is that the breakfast is also super rich, with freshly cooked noodles, egg tarts, muffins, fruit yogurt and everything in between. The baby brought his own plate and chose a full table. From the room upgrade to the hot spring design, from the children's supplies to the cleaning details, every link is carefully considered. I have already made an appointment to bring other family members to come together next time. This treasure family hotel is definitely worth visiting!
