Xiamen Siming District 5-star Hotels

Dont judge this hotel by looking it. You need to experience it. Central location. Less than 3 mins walking to a very nice park. BRT bus station at door. It has everything you need: big rooms with tea set and snacks 😊 It has a spacious setting area for refreshments and relaxing on 2nd floor, beside it is a free laundry room next to gym. There is a well known restaurant by local on 3rd and 4th floor. There are spa and yoga , dancing studios on 5th floor. Everyone is so nice. Check in is fast and easy. Breakfast has various to choose from. Local specialties and international food as well. Fresh and delicious. Will definitely book it if I visit again.

The location is good. It is near Zhongshan street, a local market and it has a really good view of Gulangyu. The non-smoking floor had no trace of cigarette scent. The staff were helpful with the luggage and promptly resolved an issue with the room. I did request that they helped me with a restaurant reservation but failed to update me on the outcome. Overall, service was good.

Manager Allen personally drove to deliver forgotten documents to the airport at midnight (with hand-drawn apology cartoon), while custom jogging maps pinpoint photography hotspots at Huliao Hill. Savory highlights include Longyan claypot ginger duck and 12-topping satay noodle bars. Fridays feature Peranakan Cultural Salons for crafting lacquer thread relief bookmarks, with check-out gift boxes scannable for colonial villa audio tales. A perfect equilibrium between business efficiency and cultural immersion.

There is a subway station next to the hotel, so it is convenient to go anywhere. There is a lake just a short walk away, so it is good for taking a walk. It is connected to a shopping center, so you can buy things. When you enter the room, it feels like a typical 5-star hotel. However, there was dust on the water bottle in the bathroom. I don't know if it was because it had been a long time since a guest stayed in the room or because there is a lot of dust in Xiamen. The room seemed clean, but if you look behind the bed or behind the desk, you can see dust. Looking at the dust accumulated behind, I wonder if the carpet on the floor was cleaned properly. The air conditioner control was a Johnson Control. The sensor that controls the temperature in the room did not work sensitively. Since I only went to the hotel to sleep, I never had a chance to use other facilities at the hotel, so I don't have opinions about other places.

The room is new and well designed. The check-in was easy and welcoming. However, it did not feel particularly clean: strong smell of cigarettes in the bathroom, fingerprints all over the windows. Also, the shower water pressure was very low sometimes. One major issue was the insane amount of noise: I stayed on 31st floor and from about 8 in the morning on the weekend, there was unbearable noise from the floor above, as if the building is under demolition. Besides that, I had a pleasant stay.

We had great time in Xiamen. The hotel offers a great range of breakfast choices, staffs are friendly offered great service from Luo and Ding. The vending machine in the lobby has everything in travel size if requires. Location is not ideal for travel purposes but still OK with a short taxi ride.

I come oftenly in Xiamen and I booked always to this hotel. Its very clean, the breakfast has a big variety, the location of hotel is Very convenient because is almost in the heart of Xiamen. If you can find a way to communicate with the staff because of different language and culture you will very satisfied with their services.

Although this is an old hotel, but the overalls are quite well maintained. Bath room in the room is clean and I like it that it is a well enclosed bath room and not the type with a see through glass which gives no privacy. Shortfall about this hotel is there is no USB charging plug. So if you only have the charging cord and no usb plug, then you might have to borrow the plug from the front. The WiFi didn’t work and I wasn’t able to log in, it was too late when I check in so I couldn’t be bothered to check with front desk. This time was the 5 1 long holiday and I requested to check out at 2 pm when check in and was promptly rejected. I was actually willing to pay extra to check out 2 hours later. Later the front desk was able to let me check out at 1 pm.

This hotel was one of the absolute highlights of my 18-day journey across China. From the moment I arrived, Bella at the reception made me feel incredibly welcome. She was warm, professional, and always ready to help — truly a gem of the team. The hotel itself is new and beautifully maintained. Its location is unbeatable — right across from the beach, with a wide selection of cafes, restaurants, and convenient eateries all within easy walking distance. The breakfast buffet spread is also exceptional — one of the best I’ve had so far. Great variety, fresh ingredients, and something to suit every palate. Everything about the stay felt easy, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. I would absolutely stay here again!
